I know what it's like being pregnant n being abused. he just went to jail because i'm tired of it. we don't have to do anything at all, some men or woman ( if you're gay) don't have to have a reason to explode and attack, they just do. I've noticed that since becoming pregnant, the violence has only escalated.

@tom181071 i dont know the stats of abuse rises through pregnancy, but my ex-partner was always verbally abusive, but became physically abusive during my pregnancy.

@missdimples1982 - Out of interest, did you get pregnant because you both agreed to the idea, or did you tell him you were keeping it, regardless of his opinion? Men have no say in what happens after inception, so he may have been angry at you for forcing him into unplanned fatherhood. Imagine a guy told you he was on the new male pill, but then you became pregnant, and he could decide you would have the baby, even though you didn't want it. Would you feel like being violent? Just one scenario!

@tom181071 our daughter was planned as we were trying for quite some time as my tubes were damaged and got told our only chance of children would be earlier rather than later, he is a good father to my daughter and see's her every weekend and calls her 3 times through the week, after i broke up with him he went onto anger management and wanted to nake a go of our relationship again, but i felt i was not able to trust him again, we remain friends for the sake of our daughter.

@missdimples1982 - what caused him to suddenly start hitting you? Did he snap? Why? Did you have an argument, about money, or whatever else? Did he get drunk?

What was the spark? I'm guessing he didn't randomly decide to start being violent to you. What was his motivation?

@tom181071 he said it was because i was spending all my free time getting ready for the baby, before i was pregnant he was always quick to loose his temper but i never expected violence, he did not like the fact i needed more help around the house, as i still worked fulltime too and i was tired, it was a very confusing time as he did not want to wait for kids, he wanted them there and then.
