In holland we call this 'wentelteefje'. It's an old-dutch recipe, and really delicious. We don't use vanille, though. Rather cinnamon. Yumyummy:P

OK, here's what you do:

First you mix 2 or 3 eggs with some milk (depending on the amount of wentelteefjes you want to make) and then you add the sugar and cinnamon.

Then, in a frying pan, melt & heat some butter.

Get your whitebread slices ready by cutting of the crusts, and let them soak in the egg/milk mixture. Then bake the slices in the pan and eat them warm with whipped cream, ice cream, sugar, cinnamon, warm or whatever you like!! Enjoy
