This is the exact netbook I have. I have tried replacing the DC jack and have failed miserably so far. I do not have a desoldering pump however I have been trying to heat using a soldering iron and braid. You made it look so easy. Any help / tips?
It's probably overheating, check your fans, make sure they're running and blow any dust out of the vents in front of the fan. Dust buildup along the inside of the vents inside the laptop is the #1 cause of all the laptop computers that come into the shop with symptoms like shutting off frequently or freezing.
they come off just as easy, we get many boards that had previously been repaired other places where lead free rosin core was used. In fact, they come off easier in my opinion.
