  • Do you know if you can actually have the casting resin come into contact with any of the fiberglass, or can the resin only come into contact with nothing but silicone in order to make a safe pull?

  • I use resin for cast little sculptures but... never use it for props... How many layers of this "plastic" i must use?... ThankU and ThumbUp for your video.

  • great vdieo bocephus. thank you!

  • Hi i want to ask, how the plastic cast characteristic, is it real plastic or just like resin? And how about the strength, is it strong enough when it dropped or break easily?

  • @pastlearner The plastic is real plastic as far as I know. It's pretty strong. I've never dropped one but if you do enough layers of plastic, then it should withstand quite a bit.

  • Awesome tutorial!

How much did all this cost (not including the original base helmet)?

    Keep it up!

  • @Alecalisk The gallon kit of Rebound-25 was like $200 and the Thi-vex and Mold release were about $20 apiece. So all together it was around $240 not counting the fiberglass, resin, brushes, etc.

  • great vid will help me a lot when i attempt my Bane mask

  • YOU HAVE A GREAT TASTE IN MUSIC SIR.....

  • where did you get the casting supplies??

  • @XxDeathAgentxX Check the description.

  • your videos have made this so much easyer to understand and i'm excited to do it now! thank you!

  • @PeterParker771 I'm glad I could help.

  • how could I make a mold for a skyrim helmet?

  • @sonicfreak04 Well, first you would have to make the helmet out of something. Then you would use the same process I showed in these videos. If you're talking about the iron helmet with the horns, then you might need to mold the horns separately and then attach them to the finished cast.

  • Great job with the molding and casting tutorials! I am looking into sculpting/reproducing sentai/Power Ranger helmets, and I found this extremely helpful. Thanks so much!

  • @yoyobran Thanks man. I'm glad I could help.

  • In part 1 you said your not an expert but you did a great job with casting this helmet. Excellent tutorial...thanks for posting!

  • I want to make the NCR veteran helmet but it seems a little bit complicated for my first try.

  • @xxLAMPSHADEx If you really want to make the NCR I say go for it. Even if it take a few tries it'll be worth it to see the finished product. Also, you don't have to make it perfect the first time.

  • Coudl i buy a cast from you because i want to make a mandalorian helmet too :D

  • @weardcute I'm not selling these because I realized after I molded the helmet that the casts as well as the original are too small because of the cheeks. I want to sculpt a Mando helmet out of clay sometime. If I do, I might mold, cast, and sell the casts.

  • thank you for posting this it really helpful. is it possible to cut holes into the plastic for breathing holes and seeing holes?

  • @mohrbr Of course.

  • so how much would that helmet be worth?

  • @bronco19013 Around $60.

  • Awesome job man! Great tutorials you have! Keep up the great work!!

  • I'm confused. Did I miss a video? Last video you were about to make the mother mold and now your casting.

  • @musicwinning Yeah, I think you must have missed how to make a mold part 4.

  • This is awesome man. Appreciate the tutorials. What do you sand with after casting? Sanding block with 400+ grit paper?

  • :)

  • Pretty cool

  • @Rangekil023t What does it matter how long it takes me to do things? I do things the speed I like.

  • Could you make me halo armor? I would pay you at whatever we can agree to

  • I Made one but it came out crappy

  • what scal size did u use on pepakura on the halo helmet and also will u sell pepakura halo helmets without resin for under 5 dollors please respond

  • @lockedandloaded59 Hate to break it to you, but he would have paid way more for the ink just to print it out. You can do it on your own at home and save money on shipping.

  • I have been following your work from the city of Sevastopol (the former USSR)

    My respect, well done bro.

  • could you cover the inside of the mold with bond and then fiber glass the inside so its sturdy it might be cheaper than the plastic

  • @InGen62 I don't know.

  • Must say, would make a great airsoft mask with some steel mesh in it!

  • Hey Bocephus I have question. When I go to smooth-on . com and i choose my country (Lithuania) they show Latvian address. What should I do?

  • nice one :) this helped me a bunch

  • thanks alot man been watching for a while you really thought me alot.

  • Can you use a brush to apply the plastic, or will it just stick to the brush?

  • @nicob616 Yeah, the plastic will just stick to the brush. This plastic can only be applied with the roto-casting method shown in this tutorial.

  • @xXBocephusXx Okay, because i was just about to do this, and was wondering if there were any different methods, thanks
