There is a new report out of Gaza of Israel's callous behavior. 110 civilians were relocated into a particular building by the Israeli military and warned not to go outside. Then 24 hours later the building was shelled and and 30 died. Even if it were a mistake, it showed that Israel is not taking the time to relay the location of civilian safe houses to the people who are calling in the targets.

It did happened, what isn't clear is whether it was an honest mistake or not. Maybe the coordinates got passed on to command and got labeled a target instead of a safe house, maybe not. Maybe the coordinates didn't get passed on and the commanders got nervous about so many Palestinians gathered in one location, maybe not. There is a new report out of Gaza of Israel's callous behavior. 110 civilians were relocated into a particular building by the Israeli military and warned not to go outside. Then 24 hours later the building was shelled and and 30 died. Even if it were a mistake, it showed that Israel is not taking the time to relay the location of civilian safe houses to the people who are calling in the targets.

It did happened, what isn't clear is whether it was an honest mistake or not. Maybe the coordinates got passed on to command and got labeled a target instead of a safe house, maybe not. Maybe the coordinates didn't get passed on and the commanders got nervous about so many Palestinians gathered in one location, maybe not. All we know is that 30 of the 110 died on site and 3 more died of injuries in the hospital.

The UN Security Council, the people who make decisions like this, only has one (two if you include Lybia) Muslim dominated country, which is Turkey and they aren't Arab either. It is the three permanent members (France, US, China, Russia, and Britain) have the majority of the clout and they are all pro-Israel as far as I know.

They have video of the White Phosphorus and the victims of the cluster bombs from the hospitals.
The Red Crescent (Red Cross) confirmed that their were 5 ambulances shelled and their passengers were killed.

White phosphorous was used by the US when it invaded Iraq. Some white powder was used by Israel in Gaza as a smokescreen for its aerial assault but was not sprayed on the population. The IDF denies that it is white phosphorous. The ambulances that were shelled were carrying Hamas operatives - part of their propaganda to make Israel look bad. I don't about the boat but just yesterday Israel let in 80 trucks delivering aid to the Gazans.

How do you know that ambulances were carrying Hamas? You assume that because it fits your perspective. Even if it did carry injured Hamas combatants. It is illegal to fire upon an injured or incapacitated enemy combatant that is no longer a threat. It is a human rights violation and a war crime.

All of the UN resolutions concern Palestinian refugees and none has anything to do with the tremendous number of Jews who were expelled from Arab lands. These were people who were uprooted by law, had their assets plundered, displaced, and denationalized. They are now deemed full citizens in Israel which is what Palestinian refugees should be in Arab countries. Do you know of any other army in the world that would take it upon themselves in a time of war to distribute pamphlets urging civilians to leave certain areas? Or how about the hundreds of telephone calls that are made to specific families urging them to get out of harm's way? There are lots of other tactics that are used to avoid harming civilians but when rocket launchers and Hamas compounds are set up right in the midst of them what is Israel to do?

Second, Israel doesn't tell the truth when it claims it doesn't target civilians. Mistakes happen once, twice, even ten times. However, when thousands of innocent civilians, including entire families, are murdered in indiscriminate aerial bombing, it means the killing of civilians is deliberate. After all, killing knowingly is killing deliberately. And it doesn't matter if you call it collateral damage or use other euphemisms in reference to the killings.

Hamas is not using human shields. I already explained that below. Your own stats disproves that also. If the civilian casualties are only 24% of all casualties it is because Hamas is meeting the Israeli ground troops face to face.
The reason the civilian casualties in Iraq and Afganistan are so high is because the US unfortunately treats civilian casualties as a necessary part of war, which is bull shit.

Hamas most certainly does use human shields. Their rocket launchers are typically set up in narrow alleys in between Gazan homes. Their compounds & installations are in heavily populated areas - certainly not military bases. They are fighting out of people homes that are still occupied by civilians! Using the same MO - they store their arsenals in mosques and hospitals and then decry the bombing of these areas.

cg, Israel is invading homes and neighborhoods because that's where the threats are! Hamas does have quite an army and they even induct children. Gaza is not that crowded that there are no spots for military bases or rocket launcing areas that are away from the poplulace. There is a video on You Tube that shows vast amounts of open areas in Gaza.

They don't have tanks, airplanes, missiles, anti-aircraft,...etc. They have small arms, some home made rockets, a few RPG's and maybe some home made hand held explosives. They can't fight a traditional war.
It is like when we (the US) fought the Revolutionary War, when we were fighting a traditional war, standing side by side volley fire, we lost. The reason we won is because we turned to the Guerrilla tactics that we learned from the Native Americans, at least in part.

When Israel invaded Lebanon in 1982 they found many 45' wide tunnels with enough equipment, weapons, blankets and even coffee to arm a Million man army. These were all Russian weapons. There were stores of information on Jewish citizen, all in Russian.
Since the PLO could only feild 1,500 soldiers at the time, this was proof that Israel had adverted a Russian invasion. All that was needed was the man power and that could have filtered into the country slowly in a short period of time.
