Great thoughts Matt! Have you ever stared at a plant carefully and there seemed to be some kind of intuitive extra sensory participation between the plant and yourself? It feels more like a "felt change in consciousness" (Poetic Diction). I'm interested in your continued thoughts on not just how we can understand participation, but also what can we do through experience to change our dualistic perception?

@nymphrenic I'm not so much concerned with the "purpose" of the images, at least not in so far as "purpose" refers to the intentions of the people making them. I'm more interested in the *meaning* of them, the influence they have on the people who consume them. The meaning could be something like this: "The universe is good (beautiful)" "God is great" "Science replaces art/religion" etc., depending on the viewer. The common link between the meanings is an emphasis on one end of a binary that...
