To be honest, I don't understand what's so great about Oki. He was easily my least favorite character in the entire game, with all of his idiotic presumptions, thoughtless decisions, and unrealistic changes of attitude.

His theme is still pretty cool though.

Thoughtless decisions?! Did you talk to Kai before going into the shrine!? First off, he was the one to protect Kemu and Samickle when the twin demons attacked. He took the sword so he could finish off the demons and bring peace to the people. He believed he had to protect them. Unrealistic changes of attitude?! he one attitude change that I know of was when the sword started glowing. He finally realized why it would not awaken and he has a change of heart!

@MerriadocBB I'm mostly talking about his whole backstory and everything that led up to the twin demons.  He took his village's prized sword without permission to do battle against a great evil by himself. More than once, in the short span of time that you meet him, he tries to be a hero by charging into battle solely on the assumption that the sword would suddenly gain power on his way to strike. His blind mix of passion and pride only ended when he gave up on the sword to help someone.
