  • never knew he had passed until I played around on FB. RIP Jerry Reed.

  • Love him!

  • It's the first time I have seen this video - and I feel honoured that three of my own photos appear in it. Two I took in Georgia in the 80s when I met him (twice) and the signed photo he did for me. Nice to know I played a little part. I know we can't post links on YouTube but please visit my Reed site. I'm in the UK so search Google for Jerry Reed - The Snowman.

  • I'm definately gonna be looking for him to have a jam when I'm gone up to the big hole in the sky.

  • @VerticalUnion1 what a hell of a loss.........so much left to give.......

  • Correction FYI, His name is Jerry Reed Hubbard. Hubbard is his last name. Truly one of a kind. Check out Jerry Donahue's version of The Claw as played on a Fender Telecaster. Jerry R. Hubbard would approve!

  • HE IS NEVER GONE FROM ME....HOPE TO SEE HIM IN THE SKY

  • I'm a mainstream jazz saxophonist who admires (and learned from) the playing of giants like Art Pepper, Paul Desmond, James Moody ,Cannonball Adderly, Bud Shank, etc., I must say that from the very first tune I heard Jerry Reed sing and 'pick' I knew I was in the presence of true greatness -- he had the kind of consummate skill and spirit that all of the true greats have. Thanks for the music and the laughs, Jerry - you chased my blues away more than once, believe me! Kirk Feather
