I think the major reason tropers are the way they are is because they are in deep denial or deeply sheltered. They most likely come from homeschooling or private schools or were bullied severely, and were taught by parents/teachers/authority figures that intelligence matters the most, above all other attributes, particularly social skills. They think the reason no one likes them is because their special and better than them, not because their pretentious maladjusted twats. (continued)

@YamiAura Nah, sexuality isn't a part of parenting, but being raised in such a manner as to end up considering one's self "Ambiguously Pansexual" is not a good sign. It's another one of those overly-complex sexuality definitions that are popular on TV Tropes. I'm not even really sure what this one means. Pansexual I get, although using that in lieu of Bisexual has unnerving implications, but to be ambiguously so? That doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

The Ambiguous Sexuality tropes are for characters who have a vibe of being an orientation without confirmation, and he's applying it to himself, EVEN THOUGH HE SHOULD KNOW. What this means is he wants people to think he's pansexual without actually putting out, making him an attention whore. Which happens even with good parents, unfortunately.
