The purpose of 911 isn't just for police, its for alerting all emergency personnel for an emergency. If McD's won't refund her money, she has to take it up with McD's or by lawsuit. The officer wouldn't be able to do anything about it anyway. Business practice can be disputed by a court of law, not by officers.

In many social engineered locations, there are no phone numbers except 911 to contact local police. That narrow avenue of remedy for theft of money or failure to comply with local and or common law jurisdiction, would resort many people to just allow the Nazi like theft of money to be allowed, which I myself am not in favor of. The purpose of 911 isn't just for police, its for alerting all emergency personnel for an emergency. If McD's won't refund her money, she has to take it up with McD's or by lawsuit. The officer wouldn't be able to do anything about it anyway. Business practice can be disputed by a court of law, not by officers.

In many social engineered locations, there are no phone numbers except 911 to contact local police. That narrow avenue of remedy for theft of money or failure to comply with local and or common law jurisdiction, would resort many people to just allow the Nazi like theft of money to be allowed, which I myself am not in favor of. Despite her poor verbal skills, she knew her rights, and this broadcast is a personal attack upon the wrong party.
Emergency standards / public education are to blame.

I worked at McDonald's years ago & we gave the customers a refund if they didn't like the quality of the food. It was a really simple solution!

@yoyaya007 I have to agree, I live in Canada, and any time I have had a problem with my order (which is pretty rare) I go back, explain the problem, and they have always immediately apologized and fixed whatever was wrong, once they even game me some free fries (the store was clsoing in 10 minutes, and they were just gonna toss 'em).
