What MJ did as a Wizard was impressive. When you factor in that he retired for a few years, it gives me hope that Kobe will stick around for a while longer.

a mi no me hable de lebron que kobe mientras quede una persona viva de el 85 en adelante hablara y dira q no existe ni existira un jugador como michael jordan es un estraterrestre con 38 años y ganar ese juego ahy es que se sabe quien es el verdadero rey
MICHAEL is a very powerful name that comes from the Hebrew: מִיכָאֵל / מיכאל (Mikha'el), "who is like ( El )", meaning "Who is like God?" - no wonder why some of the best people in the world were named Michael. Michael Jordan, Michael Jackson, Michael Schumacher, Michael Angelo, ... even the Archangel that slay the devil is Michael.. if you want to have a son someday name him "MICHAEL"; surely another chapter of Greatness will be fulfilled.
Damn how do you do that at 38? Can you imagine what he would've done that night if he was 30? Mike should be banned from the NBA because it's not fair to the other teams. Damn I remember when the NBA had real teams and players that were men.
I love the story about the game, by the way. I've been in the same boat, but I don't even expect a girl to even give a shit about sports. It's just how it is.
Hoops - great video man. I especially loved you story about you taking your girlfriend to this game; it was very well written and made me feel like I was there. It's amazing how MJ can have someone who "hates" basketball on the edge of her seat, what an entertainer. Purest stroke I've ever seen, I could watch MJ shoot 15 footers forever.
lets get this straightened out. when michael jordan was 25, he averaged 32 ppg, 8 rpg, 8 apg, 3 spg, and 1bpg. Also during the playoffs he did even better against the best defensive team in the nba at the time, the detroit pistons. Lebron can't even touch the grease of Michael's bacon... sizzle sizzle - at least not yet
The greatest ever. There r a lot of good players, but none come close to the type of will mj had on the court. George Karl really sumed up everything about MJ, he said, "If you want to beat Michael Jordan you literally have to rip out his heart, cause if you leave him with that he his going to find a way to beat you." Dont give me lebron or kobe, they dont have the "ur gonna have to drag me off of this court piece by piece if you want to beat me" mindset that jordan had. No one better.
wait til lebron finishes his career first. think of the athletes that are amazing then at their peek ruin everything. if i remember bo jackson led the nfl in touchdowns and rushing yards by a huge margin. he did in two years what other did in 5 and 6. destroyed his knee n never played again
If LeBron finishes his career without any major injuries and surgeries, he can join Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Michael Jordan and Karl Malone as the only players to reach 30,000 career points.
ok ELJUNIOR. beaners obviously know nothing about basketball. im the biggest lebron fan around but he is no where close to MJ. kobe isnt even on mj's level. lebrons gotta hit more game winners and get at least 6 rings to be on mj's level
actually Jordan had already averaged nearly 38 points a game for a season at that age, without Scotty Pippen or anyone else for that matter. he was also way more clutch throughout his career than Lebron has been.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
not true he wasnt more clutch then lebron of course jordan had more opportunites to prove himself but lebron took his team to the finals by himself and last yr he did his best to bring them to the finals but no1 else but him steped up if lebron was on that bulls team instead of jordan lebron would have better numbers then jordan had in his carrer
guy at 25 he averaged 8 assist 32 points a game over 2 steals a game..8 rebounds a game a 850 free throw...a... 54% fgs that year ...r u talkin bought the wright jordan...fool lebron will never touch...mj...hes smart hes gunna change his number
Seeing MJ own Sprewell even though he was 38 is awesome. What a punk Sprewell was. Nice game Latrell, you went 0 for 10. He is probably in jail right now. A**hole
MJ might fuck around and come back to the league next season and play for the heat , hes been real friendly with pat riley as of late. i wouldnt be shocked, his will to compete cant be matched by no one, at the hall of fame speech,he was talkin like he wanted to get back on the court.. Mj will always be the best because he outshined everyone, even the league itself, and he played in the toughest era were fouls were actually fouls..not this vanilla soft league we watch today
great comment dude. i definitely agree. people wanna say that today's era has the best athletes and best defenders and players. ridiculous. yeah maybe they're slightly more athletic and stronger, but that doesn't make you better. it's like saying usain bolt would dominate in the nfl just cuz he's the fastest man on the planet. in a league where teams average over 100 ppg and get ticky tac fouls for laying a pinkie on a guy, yeah.....defense is waaaaaaay better now. MJ GOAT
@Bossman03 true, but his mark on the game is permanent, he is bigger than the league itself, hes the reason people all over the world wanna play ball and he influenced every part of kobe's game(todays greatest player)
@iTzeXile13 YOu know how good Lebron and Wade would become fro mlearning from MJ. Even at his age, MJ can show them things and make them smarter basketball players. Those palyers who cant take it like Kwame Brown, are players that dont really belong in the game. If your being taught by the GOAT, yo ushould listen and stop complaining. because there are so many people who would love to be in that situation.
@fhab525 80s to early 90s was really tough but there was a lack of talent in the late 90s. he would dominate today though, one of the main reasons is because there is no hand checking and some other rule changes benefiting the offensive player
He's been friendly with Pat Riley for years. He gave him a "shout out" in his H.O.F speech. I didn't read beyond the first "sentence" of your comment because it was so stupid.
It was evidence against your assumption that MJ being "friendly" with Pat Riley in itself implies that he may return and play for the Heat. Clearly, critical reasoning isn't your "go-to move." Originally, I was only suggesting that you're an idiot, but now, I'll say it: "YOU'RE AN IDIOT."
....looks like I'm done here. On to the next video! Don't worry, I won't be back to read or s**t on any of your other responses :-)
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
So what? MJ is living proof that just because you're great at basketball doesn't mean you're good at leading others. He is almost as bad as Donald Sterling.
I cant believe u only paid 400 dollars for those tickets. The only game i saw jordan play was gm 2 of the 96 finals. My dad got tickets from his work paid a couple hundred for them. The seating was way up in the nose bleed section last row. My dad had to bring a cane and fake a limp because the seating was for handicap.I had to use binoculars just to see the damn court.Atleast i got to see jordan play once in my life granted he played poorly in that game. Its still a story to tell my kids someday
Wow MJ doin it against Kurt thomas, Marcus Camby, Latrell Sprewell, Marc Jackson and Allan Houston; thats amazing. With the exception of Thomas I think the rest were All-Stars.
I love this video! I was lucky enough to tape his game winner against phoenix that year, but i made the mistake of letting someone borrow it, and i never saw it again!
I beg 2 differ: Howard Eisley was a solid point guard who ran the offense very well, mad smart desicions with the ball , and played 'ok' defensively. The problem was, he had sooo many different coaches within his short tenure w/ The Knicks that the plays he had to run were always changing. That can get confusing, plus the Knicks' "star players" were always hurt.
That was a romantic story you told not being funny but I wish I could've seen a live game of MJ I'm glad I did get to see a legend. 20 years old ya'll got the bullshit 30yo we had the best.
I was in seventh grade at the time...And ppl still COULDN'T do nothing to an aging Jordan!!!! That showed you how great he was, even in his late thirties!!!
they support their team even if their current team arent good. and they appreciate greatness..they cheer for the other teams best player ie michael jordan, kobe, lebron..etc.
what shows u how much he was admired is just watch the reaction of the crowd of opposing teams...they cheered for MJ as if he played for their team...truely the greatest that will ever play
i'm an american living in Seoul, south korea now, teaching english to adult students. back in the 80s, one game each weekend would be broadcast on korean TV, always with Bird, Magic, or Jordan. NBA was hugely popular here in the 80s and 90s, but when Jordan retired, they and the rest of the world stopped caring. everyone here, including kids, still know the name Michael Jordan. thats a legend
people don't even realize how good this guy was at 35 most guys start slowing down and start retiring, he was 38 and played like a 25 year old.... damn.
"And although she returned to hating basketball, she would forever tell stories about the one time she saw MJ. This was the essence of what Michael Jordan was to the world. "
Goosebumps.
I'm 17 years old, never had a chance to watch MJ live, but having seen so many games from him, he was, and still is the GOAT. Not Kobe, not LeBron, only MJ. The guy changed the game.
this made me so happy to watch him light up Sprewell like this.. sprewell and his garbage braids has always been my least favorite nba player/thug of all time. good game latrell, what to go 0 for 12 and get a game winner buried in your grill.
oh and way to turn down that 20MM dollar contract because your family needs to eat. how are you eating now? in between boats and houses being repossesed? idiot

i'm an american living in Seoul, south korea now, teaching english to adult students. back in the 80s, one game each weekend would be broadcast on korean TV, always with Bird, Magic, or Jordan. NBA was hugely popular here in the 80s and 90s, but when Jordan retired, they and the rest of the world stopped caring. everyone here, including kids, still know the name Michael Jordan. thats a legend
pheeeel17 2 years ago 5
lol Sprewell couldn't do anything, he was too scared to face MJ.

The guy changed the game.
woutakasinistra 2 years ago 2
age 38 still shittin on the knicks LOL, sprewell should bow down to MJ wat da fuck wrong wit him, disrespectin the god of basketball is unnaceptable.

this made me so happy to watch him light up Sprewell like this.. sprewell and his garbage braids has always been my least favorite nba player/thug of all time. good game latrell, what to go 0 for 12 and get a game winner buried in your grill.
oh and way to turn down that 20MM dollar contract because your family needs to eat. how are you eating now? in between boats and houses being repossesed? idiot
