He was youngest of all Olympians but leader of them in battle of against the titans so he got the most reward(became most powerful and king of the gods). The king of the titans was Cronos, Zeus,Hades and Poseidon's father. Now if you wonder who is supreme true God in Greek Mythology it would be Chaos, He/she was the one who made everyone(technically he Made only Gaia).
