@GoForBrokeTV GREAT question! I have contacted one of the most popular & well-known anti-virus companies, Avira (makes AntiVir). They quickly CLEARed it as a False Positive. I can't post urls in here but it's at
As to WHY well basically these companies prey on ppl's fear and want to be trusted. But there's just not enough time to do this for each Antivirus program.
Sorry- no keyboard support. I got in touch with a few keyboard users but interest didn't seem high enough for this kind of app. I've been a little busy now to work on it, maybe in the future but again there has to be at least a few ppl that want it.
It would be interesting if it had SF character moves included to show success. Since the various characters use the same inputs they could be labeled generically. Just an idea.
This is a great idea. I think this is what a lot of players envision to 'practice.'
I think some nice improvements would be the following: 'move check' comparison: If there were standard 'files' for special moves like 'fireball', 'dragon punch','EWGF (from tekken)',etc. and this program could tell you when you have executed the move correctly, that would add a lot of value. I guess this would work by having the program continuously check for the loop of moves being performed.
Thanks for the feedback. I think that sounds like a good idea, the only thing would be guestimating or reverse engineering the exact timing window for each input of the move (ie how long spent in down, how long spent in down+towards, and in towards before punch for fb). In the first design I wanted to do something like this, and you could designate a button to indicate start/stop. btw the record feature work like that- you or another person can make it and you loop it while practicing.
It is? I just tried it, got it downloaded the .rar archive fine. (I can also email it to you, just msg me on here for your email address if it still doesn't work.) I'll check out mediafire just in case. btw if anyone wants to post this file somewhere else, feel free, just let me know where first.
Thanks for the comments. The window transparency turned out to be more trouble than it was worth for non-Vista users, and even on Vista there were still some limitations. As for inspecting the recorded files, it could probably be drawn up within Excel itself (with Lines option on, each input's frame is represented by a line piece that is 13 pixels long).
Freaking Awesome! I wish there was keyboard support though xD.

Mind explaining those? I don't think you're posting a virus just curious why these are picked up as false-positive

I wonder how much more you're going to develop this? If you are I have some feature requests:
Better input display (check out how mame does it)
Make displayed inputs not disappear so we can look over them
Everything put into a single window
Window transparency toggle
Ability to open and clearly interpret the saved files instead of having to use a spreadsheet program
Thanks
