I'm trying not to get angry at the general Chinese populations for these inhumane treatment of our people but seeing some of these pathetic scums trying to defend/justify the actions of CCP thugs is really crossing the line. You people should have at least a grain of morality and sense of compassion at the sight of another being suffering. The only mistake the US companies made was trusting the Chinese government to begin with! The companies here were horrified and removed all the tainted products. We don't go around poisoning our kids with lead or with tainted powdered milk for that matter.

I don't use an iphone. The "made in China" on a lot of the tech over here refers to the cheap plastic casings.
Now there are some very nice products with the "made in China" stamp on them. Not all Chinese companies are bad. The Chinese government though is all bad.
The Chinese people are wonderful people, and they are hurt by their government too, like the tainted milk that hurt their babies.
Then again some of your people throw away girl babies.

What I find fascinating is the fact that so many Chinese are willing (if not programmed into) to believe what their government says even though the vast majority of the evidence suggests that China is a brutal regime that will crush anyone even thinking about disagreeing with them.

I feel sorry for the Chinese who are aware of what is going on and feel helpless. I know that there are Chinese who have set up their own private orphanages to take care of the unwanted little girls. As opposed to those houses of horror the Gov. runs.
So many of the Chinese college kids who come over here to go to school have this really obnoxious attitude of superiority and who literally pretend not to know a single word of English when a person is speaking to them.

I was told by a couple of Chinese nationals that "you can do what you want in China, as long as you don't get in the government's way." Sooner or later they will realize that it is, as citizens of their country, to get in the way of their government.

He lived in the Northwest Territories too, but liked the Yukon better. He said it was getting too dangerous in Yellowknife. (Too many gangs, believe it or not.)

You see, in any economic system there are three forces: the consumer, the supplier and the government.
The consumer's directive is easy: get your money's worth. The suppliers directive is also easy: cut costs and get the most from the consumer. So far, no problem. China has this concept down ok.
The problem China runs into is with the government. The gov's job is to moderate the two others to both protect the consumer's safety and the company's need to make profit.

The Chinese gov't consistently allows powerful groups like companies (and the government itself) to provide unsafe, even dangerous products to people in the effort to drive up profits and increase Chinese "face" if you understand.
The only time there is severe punishment is when a mistake goes too public, especially in China itself, to be ignored.
China is experiencing a boom. However, it will not last, and in about 30 years, if it doesn't correct itself, China will be a broken country.

It is unfortunate that this video is probably blocked in China. I remember when I was living in that prison of a country I couldn't located any webpages to Tiannamen Square or Free Tibet protest. Even facebook was closed down every once and a while. I can remember that I couldn't get access to facebk specifically for three days at the March uprising.
