At first if you have a convertor Din (Tb,TR and Sh) or one for the Sh. you connect the entry midi of the convertor to the out of the electribe and selected the internal clock.
I have tried with different models and they work.
101 is great fun because of the sequencer, but I would get the 106. You can basically do everything that a 101 can do, plus pads which is really nice. No sequencer though, but 106 comes with midi so you can sequence externally through Live or whatever. I would choose a 106 over a 101 any day if they were the same price.
@ossilation They are both nice, and midi is definitely a plus, but I would personally rather have a 101, it just sounds so raw. But I have both so I don't have to equivocate. :)
@Daaanvh The sh 101 and juno 106 are completely different machines all together. i own both and the sh 101 has some of the best sounding bass and lead line capabilities ive ever heard. the 106 has multiple voices (DCOS), a great built in midi system and patches. however the juno 106 isnt going to have nearly as "organic" of a tone as the sh 101. i would use the juno 106 for some bass lines, AWESOME pads, and some leads and weird noises however you could literally base a whole set off an sh 101

Great video!
I also own a electribe S, nice cheap box.
Love the sound of the 101 though, still doubting between getting a 101 or a juno 106

Excellent!
What did you use to sync the 101 to the Electribe? I thought that the 101 onboard sequencer is unsyncable......
Thanks for posting
