badass psp mod, never knew 3mm leds are that bright lol, im definitely buying some with some 0805 leds. cause 0603 leds are a pain in the ass to solder o.o

What mcd are those LED's?? 0603 smd led's are only good for the power and charge Led swap :(

So i'm using 3mm (1200 mcd) and will 3mm be small enough to fit in the d-pad and in the middle of the x /\ [] o buttons?

Sorry for the late reply, those are actually 5mm with 8000 MCD, I managed to ge them to fit, with make some major construction.

hey i wanna do something like this solder wires to speakers then to leds stick the leds into the psp triggers and some how connect another wire to the wifi switch so that the wifi switch can act as the led mod by any chance do you know how to do this

wow what leds did you use for the triggers?

I use green 3mm leds, they're really bright, no SMT leds were used.

Nah not really, I have them connected to the hold switch on the PSP, that I dont use at all, so I broke the connection rendering it from holding, and connected the lights to the the switch, now when I push the power button down for hold its not hold but the 3mm leds in the trigger turn on.

I am doing another one, but this will have all SMTs in back, front and side to side, on mobo, as well. Everything will be changed.

Can you use the 1.8mm leds without a resistor? I just ordered some and thinking of doing a direct contact sound mod on the psp.

Hey whats up, well you can, but if you want to use the LEDs for a long time, and have use of there lifespan for a really long time, then you have to use a resistor, but you dont have to, but I recommend using a resistor.

As long as you use the right Resistors you cant go wrong, I will put up a video showing what resistors are compatible, for what leds or so.
