Water only. They have "preen gland" right above their tail where they get all the oils they need for their feathers. The residue from shampoo wouldn't work on feathers, and could make them sick.
Sometimes they like it warm, sometimes very cold.
This video makes me happy when I watch it...I love to see birds happy and enjoy watching videos where their owners know what the bird needs and wants....kudos to you for such a well kept bird..

Do most parrots like getting in the shower? Guess it is more like rain. When I get my own parrot one day I'll try this too. Where do you find the perch with suction cups for the shower.
