@LeonardLayten Thats why you learn to charge. Free HP up and temp DEF up for that turn. Also, if you pay attention to the elemental attributes of attacks, you can equip accessories that can help defend against that attack. Non elemental one hit kills are pretty scarce in that game

@eviter equip jins ES with the disc with 10 slots, and use the ones that prevent enemy counters/revenges lol i gave it to him simply cuz jin was mostly close combat (counter/revenge doesnt happen to long ranged attacks)
That fucking E.S fight with margulis ..was the most painful fight I gone through..it was exciting and damn long heheh its been a long time since I've heard this one ..good memories..

Mostly because I was focused on singing along my first round, that I had forgotten to heal just ONCE... x3 and my E.S. Zebulun was shut down x3 sucked... Hard core.
This or the bonus track Jr. Theme from XS2 was probably my favorite music from the entire series... or maybe even Albedo's Theme from XS1... it was epic too... this whole series was epic to the extreme.
Vessels of anima.. played such a little role in Episodes I and II with two having a little more importance. But III made them.... plot items and had some really good boss battles revolving around them
Margulis is manipulated by Wilhelm, much like everyone else. Remeber that Wilhelm revealed himself as the leader of Ormus, and is the one who basically told Margulis that everything he had done was meaningless. Margulis was a good villain, and chose to die with honor, and he respected Jin, and took defeat graciously. I was actually kind of saddened when the battle was over.
The last fight against Margulis is the coolest and most climatic fight of the game. I loved it how Margulis lost everything and was completely betrayed. But he still laughed at his fate and confronted the only one suited for ending his life and capable of understanding him for this final fight. No need to say that I immediately fell in love with this song. It suits the epicness of this battle just fine and is probably my favourite piece of bgm in any game. R.I.P. Margulis and Jin.
I know this isn't a forums, but I just thought up a good theory of Jin and Citan.
SPOILERS:
You see, Jin's body and soul was left within the dimensional shift, therefore resulting it to eventually be recreated as Hyuga, who changed his name to Citan Uzuki after marrying his wife, who was a decedent of Shion (great great great granddaughter of some sort). I know Monolith Soft says that Xenosaga and Xenogears aren't related, but I choose to believe differently.
@Bonkz2 they say that solely because legally they can't be related. Had things worked out the way they were orignally planned i thing saga and gears would have been legitimately connected.
Oh God. I remember tearing up when this music started playing at this fight. Margulis is an antagonist, but you can't help but feel sad for him at what happens after.
It's a huge shame this song is only in one fight during the whole game, if I recall, because it is a fantastic battle song. Not quite as upbeat as the Episode II mix, but there's a huge amount of emotion, it being the final battle between Jin and Margulis. The techno feel of the original wouldn't have quite been as fitting.
also its good to see reference to some of the most epic games like vp and star ocean im gonna start tales of the abyss sortly and id like to test some of the others too

@vergilwillcry You have a point, but Omega Id/Weltall Id is more long then hard, Levi's Anima awakening will Intsantly KO and ES that isn't guarding and has plenty of HP left since it's so powerful :C Both fights rock thouhg:D
HP Wise, Id wins, shear power, Levi. Also, if you act properly and fast enough, Id might not even use Seal of Yin and Yang, and even then, if your Anima gauges are empty(aka, no one can use Anima Awakening of any level), he won't recover much HP, if any at all.
ha, i remeber this fight, it was hard though somehow my three main attacker E.S. were destroyed and only MOMO was left, i still won, with just MOMO, i never stopped using her after that.

On second thought, the Levi is one tough bastard, Omega Id is just a long, excrusiatingly slow and mildly unpredictable battle (due to the weakness shifts).
omega i think theres an accesory that you can see the weaknees shifts as easy as breathing i forgot what it called havent touch xeno 3 for a while now :)
Awesome song. Levi actually has a simple pattern. When he uses vajra shield, every time you use a lvl 3 anima he will become weak to an element. When he does anima awakening simply charge until he performs a special move. Other than that just use elements he's weak to and watch him fall
Advice: the Levi is a deadly machine that can wipe out one of your mechs out of nowhere. So the key is to play conservatively. Equip D-Frames, D-Charges and D-Guards on your mechs. That means they'll have enhanced HP, and recover a lot of health--while taking only half the usual damage--while they're Charging. Whittle down the Levi's health and elemental armor with Level One special attacks. Have only one mech attack him per turn, while the other two Charge for protection.

I was just like you couples week ego. best thing to do: when you'll damage at 70% E.s Levi will kill 2 of your E.Ss,( u cant escape) make to keep E.S(momo) for that time, his role will be just to protect the remaining E.S left. always make sure to full Hp before Levi attacks. long fight but keep that routine it will be ok

Awesome song. Levi actually has a simple pattern. When he uses vajra shield, every time you use a lvl 3 anima he will become weak to an element. When he does anima awakening simply charge until he performs a special move. Other than that just use elements he's weak to and watch him fall

Advice: the Levi is a deadly machine that can wipe out one of your mechs out of nowhere. So the key is to play conservatively. Equip D-Frames, D-Charges and D-Guards on your mechs. That means they'll have enhanced HP, and recover a lot of health--while taking only half the usual damage--while they're Charging. Whittle down the Levi's health and elemental armor with Level One special attacks. Have only one mech attack him per turn, while the other two Charge for protection.
And this music rules.

I love song so much that I didn't press not hing for a while. Then I started fighting Marguilis > He was hard. I remembered when he power up to increased his defense. Also when he hit me with his ultimate move. Sad that he died though.

I was just like you couples week ego. best thing to do: when you'll damage at 70% E.s Levi will kill 2 of your E.Ss,( u cant escape) make to keep E.S(momo) for that time, his role will be just to protect the remaining E.S left. always make sure to full Hp before Levi attacks. long fight but keep that routine it will be ok

Best fight in Ep. III for me, wonderfully frantic and challenging. It often takes sheer luck just to get by E.S Levi's overpowered attacks.
