I don't see why proportions matter. The point is they did something illegal, so they are being incarcerated. If two groups murder at an equal rate, but more of group A are arrest for murder than group B, it doesn't mean you should release murderers from group A just to make it more "equal".
Last I checked Asians use the least drugs. However, black drug rates, cigarette use, and alcohol use is WAAAY lower than for whites. Yet, we make up the most in prison.
Also, look at TI prison sentence. He got a full YEAR in prison for possession of the same drugs that Lindsoy Lohan and Paris Hilton did but yet they hardly got what? a few DAYS???? Something here does not compute and it makes me question, is the Criminal Justice system targeting Blacks the most in this country? They say that we make up 13% of the population but yet have the most people behind bars yet the majority of the people in this country are White??? Somethings wrong here.........

I could have sworn we were only 10-12% of the population, yet we are 63 times more likely to go to prison than college. That is the problem not the drugs!
it is also harder to catch them. a cop can roll down the street any day of the week and catch someone with drugs. it happens all the time. they can't just role through some rich guy's house. But even if they could they wouldn't find anything because he's smart. he is rich enough to buy some house in the middle of nowhere to keep his dope. hes not going to walk around in the street selling it to undercover cops. he going to pay gangbangers next to nothing to do it.
