what happend is the hippo drove the croc off because hippo's actually occasionally eat meat, they steel other predators kills, so he wanted the impalla, thought it was dead but it was actually alive and got confused when it started to run off...you see this happen when a lioness loses her cubs, freak of nature occurs and the lioness can try to othan the babies of its prey, look it up there are vids on here of that, you see that the lioness will occasionaly go to kill it but then changes its mind
