  • fuck music

  • Nice stick shift

  • Yep. I have a 2006 black single cab and it took me 2 years to get it. I wanted one with low miles and unabused so I found one with 7,300 miles and had one owner only who took very good care of it. If any of you guys want one, be warned cause you can't be on a gas budget with this truck! If you are, it won't see the road much. The sound of the exhaust in the video is exactly how mine sounds like. It does get attention and kids with rice burners that know this truck, don't dare to challenge me.

  • Im looking for a SRT-10 and its hard to find a truck that someone acutally drove normally. You know, acutally ran it, was nice to it and didnt pound it into the ground everyday. the truck wont last if u beat the shit out of it day in and day out.

  • Man, I wish they made the Quad Cab with the 6-speed!!

    Hmm.. Conversion? Muahaha.

  • Where is the next video?

  • That thing (how else do you describe it?) sounds incredible. I pick my srt 10 up in about 2 weeks :)

  • nice video, gave me an idea of what it would be like to owning one of these.

  • manual gear shift? how many gear does it have?

  • field trip maybe lol....Damn fine truck. For me its between this and the dakota rt.

  • its the fastest stock pickup truck and during the time of this video i know it was for a fact.. i dont keep up with truck shit so it might of changed today.. SCReW u ALL

  • the maloo isnt technically a pickup by the australians definition. it is a UTE. I would put it in the same class as the old el camino.

  • mabey if you dient make it so ridiculously big,fat and heavy it would actually go fast compared to the maloo its nothing

  • that heap of shit is not the fastest pick up in the world its tha AUSTRALIAN maloo. read this you rednecks

In February 2004, the Dodge Ram SRT-10 set both the Guinness World Record and Sports Car Club of America's record for the world's fastest production truck[3] with an average speed of 154.587 mph (248.784 km/h). That record was then surpassed by the Australian HSV Maloo with a speed of 168.668 mph (271.445 km/h)

  • Pickup truck my ass, its a car with a bed.

  • Sorry brother was on account personally I don't give a crap about your car interests if it runs and gives me no hassle while being safe and comfortable to ride in while providing what I need it to then I don't care what kind of model or brand or what ever it is.

  • @megailadan Wat th fuk is an australian.....much less a maloo snicker snicker

  • @middsteve Umm well my brother just used my account... And an Australian is someone who can spell unlike yourself.

  • Lol, that cracked me up. Very nice retort.

  • @megailadan Ummmm well, I can spell when the situation calls for it. IF I misspell something it's because I want to. And I still don't know what a FUKIN Mallo is.

  • @middsteve W.T.F. Is a Mallo?

Also my brother was using my account. -.-

  • @megailadan Well W.T.F. is a Malfukinloo?

  • @middsteve Mal= (I don't know what it means yet). Fukin = fucking. Loo=Toilet. Hope that clearings things up.

  • The day a fuckin Maloo can tow at least 6,000 lbs is the day I'll call it a truck. Until then, the Maloo is nothing more than a car with a bed, similar to the El Camino. It's not a truck. Hit a fuckin bear with a Ram, you'll have some scratches and dents to contend with. Hit a kangaroo with a Maloo, you're CAR is fucked.

And by the way, you can't refer to it as a "heap of shit" when you putter around in a jalopy. The SRT-10 is a $50,000 vehicle, and IS the fastes production TRUCK in the world.

  • @MarineHawk117 *note to self kill brother for using account* Also no one cares.

  • @MarineHawk117 You see MarineHawk117 there is this book you may have heard of called The Guinness book of world records and they say that the Holden hsv Maloo is the fastest in the world so I am more inclined to believe them then some silly person on you tube just like yourself so just relax calm down and enjoy the videos of these fine automobiles that both have their strengths and weaknesses.

  • NIce video, are you on VTCOA?

  • awesome truck

  • im looking for that 90s rap music when u start the video but i can't find it : ( i like it

  • or 80s i mean...

  • It's a UK band called Nasty Rox Inc.

Insanely rare (only about 700 LPs pressed).

    Good luck finding the tracks.

  • How bout another video.....where you actually DRIVE the fuckin thing. Short shifting, doggin it out....get on it man! and for christ sake don't taint that poor truck with such lame music.

  • As I stated about 4 other times in the comments here, this was just a camera mount test. It's certainly not a demonstration of what the truck can do.

Don't worry. It gets a healthy workout every day.

In regards to the music, it's extremely rare and from one of my favorite ski movies. I understand the subjectivity of music, but it's certainly not lame.

I'm still looking for a drummer than can pull off those beats.

  • @KevanGeier

how bout some more videos of this truck IN ACTION, and not of a squirrel?

  • @KevanGeier do u still have this truck? ever has any trans problems?

  • Comment removed

  • i love how the way she purrs at 1:39

  • NICE TRUCK!!

  • ive always wanted one of these trucks i guess itll only happen in my dreams

  • they aren't that expensive...

  • Dodge>gm,ford,toyota

  • i love dodge man, but why dont you put the gas to the floor and show all 500 horses

  • Because this was just a test video done on public roads.

  • What's your gas mileage in your truck?

  • about 11 mpg if driven properly :P usually >8.5 if driven like me i love this truck has to be the best ever!!

  • Please dont feed the ducks!

  • love the induction sound of the v10

  • me 2!

  • 2006 HSV Maloo (6.0L LS2 Chevrolet pushrod V8, 297kw = 370hp)= 271km/h (169 miles an hour)

    compared to :

1999 HSV Maloo (308ci 5.0L Australian Built pushrod V8 stroked to 350ci 5.7L, 230kw = 320hp) = 229km/h (estimated 140 miles an hour) our own engines weren't far off from chev in the power game.

Australians knew how to manufacturor their own V8 engines. and if they kept making them, they'd be producing about the same power as an LS3 chev V8 used in the 2008 VE HSV GTS.

  • hey guys, i'd like to remind you that the dodge ram is no longer the worlds fastest ute/pickup-truck. the Holden HSV Maloo (6.0L LS2) smashed the record by more than 30km/h

  • And I'd like to remind you that the Maloo is NOT a pickup.

    It's a ute (utility vehicle)

In order to be a pickup truck, you need a separate cab & bed.

    The Maloo R8 is a GTO/Monaro with a tailgate.

It's extremely disappointing that someone as thorough and detailed as Guinness isn't able to distinguish between the two, but....

  • @KevanGeier No it doesnt, a pickup doesnt need that at all. Fail USA all the way.. way to pick your deffinitions... a Maloo, and this from an Aussie, is totally useless for most of the work youd want one for, only brought as a Rumpigs B&S show pony.. but still quailifies, your deffiitiions, not Guiness' which are conveniently exclusive. I am not fan of the Maloo, but I hate US deceptive boastings of convenience, just like the 'world fastest car' shit..

  • So....the Subaru Brat is a pickup truck?

    Yeah.

    That's what I thought.

Because others fail at comprehending and using proper terms doesn't make me a bad guy.

  • for some reason it sounds more like a V8 when you're riding in it. much like the SRT10 Ram that i drove in Australia. could it be be because i wasn't revving it high enough for it to sound like a V10 should???

  • What year and color is this truck? The world's fastest production truck came in all kinds of colors, my FAVs being Big Bad Red and Black. Personally, I prefer black because (ONLY for a little LOL) it's a good color for when you're trying to escape the cops.

  • First off, the truck is fast but not faster than the radio. The cops *WILL* catch you.

Don't be the guy on the news who tried to run and ended up being picked up with a shop-vac.

A little bit of brain goes a LONG way. Esp. these days.

The truck is a black 2005 regular cab SRT-10.

  • sounds like a V8 at low revs.

  • please do not feed the ducks. :P

    nice car! xD

  • the name of the song to the beginning?

  • The band is Nasty Rox, Inc.

The first track is called "9th Wonder".

The second track is called "Blow".

    EXTREMELY rare band/songs.

  • We've got an automatic at home, on gas too..

  • Is it really a gas guzzler?

  • hmmm lets see...the engine from a Dodge Viper in a pickup truck...i wud take that as a big flashing YES

  • Lol

  • i swore on pupose because i read ur comments dumb ass tranny

  • Actually it's a Tremec T-56 tranny, but nice try!

I think I'll leave your brilliance up for a day or two.....

  • your a bitch fuckin pussy floor it ya bitch

  • I understand that this whole comment thing is awesome and you can use swear words and seemingly get away with it.

    NOT IN MY VIDEOS!

Next time read all the comments before adding your own.

You'll look a lot less foolish.

  • these run 14's stock. ford lighting is faster and runs 13.9 stock. sorry not fastest =[

  • Well, except for those that run 12's bone stock (plenty of videos available).

And then there's the whole top speed thing: 148 for the L; 156 for the SRT-10.

Maybe next time do a little research.

  • the ones i saw at the track were running 14's. probly a crappy driver. thats what i thought they ran

  • saw one of these today in britain, yea we have them too, rare as fk though, lovely truck man, you seem pretty cool, the shades, the music, the truck, i'm straight but i can change!!!! i'd have you for your truck!!!

  • Those sailors down in Portsmouth suck cock. Nice truck.

  • nice truck man

    thinking about getting one

  • bad gas mileage man still a good truck though

  • Just did a 2056 mile road trip to Orlando and back. Averaged about 19 mpg *with* about 1500 lbs. of gear in the back and on the tonneau.

  • Does that have the NV5600 trans like the cummins diesels have behind them?? Or is it the half ton gas 6 speed like would come behind a V6 truck? LOL. you can shift

  • The transmission is the Tremec T-56.

It's the same transmission as the Viper car.

Think of the SRT-10 this way: Take the body off a Viper and put a Ram body and bed on it.

    :-)

  • Dang he's quick shiftin the shit out of it

  • HAHA Hauls ass, burns gas

  • I remember the original 8.0l R/T 10 used to put out 300lb ft at 700rpm and 400lb ft by 1200rpm....I don't even want to imagine what this is putting out

just dump the clutch at idle and I bet it wouldn't stall...in fact I bet it'd spin the wheels at idle??!!!

  • I know you can drop the clutch at idle on the Viper coupes and they'll roll (or spin, depending on tires/track surface).

Haven't tried it with the truck though.

    Maybe with someone else's. LOL

  • I remember someone who made a truck with an 11l diesel V8 which was full time 4 wheel drive and that'd spin all 4 when you dumped the clutch at idle lol

I bet the Ram SRT-10 would-it's got less weight over the wheels and shorter gearing than a Viper

    ah well

congratulations on a sweet truck-I've wanted one for so long now :D

  • A stop-sign means STOP :P

  • Which is what I did.

    But thanks for the tip.

  • wow this truck will eat you alive.

  • One of these trucks gave me a serious run on the highway once...I was driving my CLS55 with a stage 2 Kompressor and I noticed I was getting followed quite closely, I stepped on it a little more and the truck kept up...I floored it and the truck kept up until 180kmh where then I began to leave it behind...This thing has 500 BHP??!!

  • Yep. 500 BHP.

My neighbor has an E65 AMG and we keep talking about a track day.

Until then we trade RPMs as we drive past each others house. LOL

Congrats on the CLS55. Very cool ride.

  • Nice.My dad has the 2005 ram srt-10 too but quad cab and its red.really fast and yes it can kill you if your not carful!!!!

  • barely touch the gas and youll spin the tires.

  • im positive =)

  • Just had to check. I know of a 7'2" Krause.

Just out of curiousity: How are you pulling down $85K at 18?

I think we'd ALL like to know.

(PUHLEASE don't let him say "selling blood and semen". LOL)

  • I know I have one =) and if you check my profile and see that im 18 I am, i also make 85k a year thats how I afford it incase you were wondering

  • You sure you don't have a 7'2" tall dad?

    :-D

  • Don't worry about all these punk kids talking crap man, great truck maybe one day the teens below, will have mommy and daddy buy them one.

  • Thanks.

I hope that mom & dad *DON'T* buy them one. I've purchased all my vehicles since I was 16. I truly believe I have more respect for them than if my folks bought them for me.

This truck is NOT a toy.

It will kill you quick if you're not careful.

  • yeah with 500bhp it will....congrats with it, saw them in Holland too. And e... its only a good thing if you drive safe and speed it up an a trackday orso.

  • i heard the 2004 dodge ram srt10 speedometer goes up to 160MPH and the 2006 dodge ram srt10 speedometer goes up to 180mph...is that true???

  • You asked the same question 3 months ago.

I'm not going to answer it again.

    Scroll.

  • why does that bother you? whats the point of buying the most badass truck on the face of the planet if you cant handle some guy you dont even know saying what he thinks of the music on your youtube video

  • I could care less what he thinks of the music.

What I don't appreciate (nor tolerate) is swearing in the Comments section of my videos.

  • All im sayin is loosen up a bit, its youtube, this isnt life or death we're talking about.

BTW what year is that truck, it I can tell it's not an '04 by the sterio....

  • I'm looser than Jenna Haze after a regular day at the office.

I don't condone the use of swearing where kids can read it. Pretty simple request.

The truck year is listed in the first 4 seconds of the video.

The RB4 "sterio" was an option for the 04-05 trucks.

  • shitty music, i had to turn my speakers down

  • Whew! Good thing you had control of the volume.

Swear in any of my videos comments again, and I'll block ya.

    Clear? Good.

  • You look like a child molester, then at 4:10 sure enough you were following a school bus

  • Yeah...too bad it was empty.

    Swing and a miss.

  • you dont have to go fast to see in this video how smooth and killer the ride is....its enjoyable to go the speed limit and know you GOT THE POWER if you need it, cool vid!

  • that shifters cool!

  • do you have to run premium in it to prevent detonation or can you just run regular with out too many problems?

  • Premium only. 92 or 93 octane, depending on how much I have left in the way of fumes before reaching the gas station.

    LOL

  • Very nice truck man!:o Sounds awesome. Do you have an intake on it? Sounds real deep and aggressive!

  • Yes. In the video I was running the Volant CAI. It's build quality wasn't up to my standard, so that went away.

Currently, I run a JMB Performance CAI and catch can. I'm VERY happy with it.

Your Silverado sounds pretty nice too! :-)

  • Thanks man. I am going to weld my new exhaust up today after work. I'll make a video. Thanks!

    Eric

  • This is the most boring crap I have ever seen. If you are driving that bad of a truck, you need to let her loose once in a while. You listen to some of the gayest music I have ever heard too. Retard.

  • *sigh* ONCE MORE, for the short-bus'ers out there:

Stop by ANY TIME. I'd be happy to take you to a track and wink your sphincter.

This was shot on PUBLIC ROADS on a WEEKDAY with NO TRAFFIC CONTROL. You bet your ass I did the speed limit.

As stated in the previous comments (which you should have read before putting up a comment of your own), this video was just a test of the camera rig I built. If you're expecting 160mph driving, head over to the Lambo videos.

Now go fix your scroll wheel.

  • I still think your choice in music is gay, but I completely respect your truck, Im a Mopar guy through and through and have had a couple of rides in the Ram SRT10s. It just would have been a better video if there was a burnout or maybe one or two punches of the throttle. If you are doing 160 on a public street, youre an idiot.

  • The music is from one of my favorite films. It's extremely rare.

Don't worry though. There's some BoltThrower and Divine Heresy in the truck too.

If I get my camera rig back in time, I'll take some video of burnouts and throttle punches at the Indy event on 3.22.08.

  • This ride is dull. You don't shift over 4000rpm to put out real V10 power. Why don't you buy a diesel instead ? Sorry I can have same kind of ride in a lincoln or cadillac.

  • Indeed it is a fairly dull video. This was shot on PUBLIC ROADS on a WEEKDAY with NO TRAFFIC CONTROL. Feel lucky you got to see it go to 3rd.

Believe me- you don't need 4000rpm's to realize the Viper engine's power.

I would have gotten a Cadillac, but they told me the Sixteen is just a concept vehicle.

As I stated a dozen times before, his video is just a camera mount test.

    Nothing more.

If you were expecting roundabout drifting or 210mph highway runs, you're in the wrong place.

  • I wasn't shit on you. My boss have the same truck, and pull hard 2500 to 6000. It would be nice in your video to get AT least one real acceleration in 1-2-3 gears anyways it's on the street, you bought it to drive on street, no only at the track, by this way I want to see it on the street, not idling at stop sign. That's it.

  • Cool.

Mount a camera in your boss' truck.

    :-)

  • It's winter, the truck is stored. Next summer I'll do it.

  • take it offroad and get a diesel instead

  • 1991-92 GMC Syclone might be the quickest production truck and top speed would be close if it wasn't restricted from the factory but its in the mini pickup class

  • Yeah- those Syclones and Typhoons can scoot!

GM did a nice job with those. AWD FTW! :-)

I'd have to do some research, but I'll guess that their top speed was somewhere around the 140mph mark.

    Cool rides indeed.

  • its CYCLONE with a C

  • Its GMs S series of truck therefore they used an S instead of a C.

  • how do you get 12-13 mpg??? I cant imagine you getting 21 mpg...that is a major fantasy!!! i cant get 8 mpg out of mine. I actually get 7.7 mpg, and that is at 35 or 135 mph!!! i do have 26" wheels on it, but that shouldn't make that big a difference. So please tell me how you get that gas mileage, cause i would love to drive it more, but cant afford too!!!!

  • Heh heh...it's not easy to get 20mpg, but it can be done.

    - Careful shifting

    - Drive at night (cooler, less traffic)

    - "Plan" your highway moves so you don't have to romp on the throttle or jam on the brakes.

Don't get me wrong: I can get the MPG computer to read 0.0 LOL

Around town, with normal driving, I'm getting about 13-15 mpg (approx. the same as my old Durango).

Cruise over to VTCOA.c0m and hang out hundreds of other SRT-10 owners.

  • thanks for the info...i just cant keep my foot out of it. It very rarely sees 5th and 6th gear, cause all i do is drive it around town, and it is so awesome that way!!! thanks for the forum info, i have actually read a few articles that will help me out!!

  • i heard the 2004 dodge ram srt10 4 door model NOT THE REGULAR CAB, the speedometer goes up to 160 MPH...but on the 2006 dodge ram srt10 4 door model, ONCE AGAIN NOT THE REGULAR CAB, the speedometer goes up to 180MPH..i was wondering if that was true???..and if it is why would they put the speedometer up to 20MPH more...just for more power..thanks guys

  • All Dodge Ram SRT-10's came with a 160mph speedo.

The gauges are painted slightly different on the 2006's, but the speedo goes to 160mph just like the 2004's and 2005's.

Check EbayMotors or AutoTrader for pics of speedos. :-)

  • Changing gears must be real easy and smooth with those long shifters. Is the load capacity of the bed the same as a regular 1500 ram?

  • Shifting is quite easy, but a longer throw than found in a standard car setup (obviously). Still, it's not too bad.

The load capacity on the truck is just over 1300 lbs. w/driver.

I'm not sure what regular Rams are.

  • Michael Jackson musician??? i never saw him play a guitar or any other instrument...

Kevan is right on the mpg, i own 2 SRT-10 and I get 12 to 13 mpg on the city 21 mpg on the highway.

  • Hammer it you greasy prick.

  • *sigh* ONCE MORE, for the glass lickers out there (like MuleyHunter1):

Stop by ANY TIME. I'd be happy to take you to a track and wink your sphincter.

This was shot on PUBLIC ROADS on a WEEKDAY with NO TRAFFIC CONTROL. You bet your ass I did the speed limit.

As stated in the previous comments, this video was just a test of the camera rig I built. If you're expecting 160mph driving, head over to the Lambo videos.

    Thanks for comin' out.

And go fix your scroll wheel.

  • The video should read "Driving the worlds SECOND fastest production pickup truck". The Australian HSV Maloo Ute (pickup) is currently the worlds fastest production pickup.

  • Except that the Maloo R8 is NOT a pickup truck.

It's a Ute, aka Utility Vehicle.

The definition of a pickup is "separate cab and bed". The Maloo is basically a GTO with a tailgate.

You wouldn't call a Subaru Brat a pickup, would you?

    Me neither.

  • you guys should both look up the dodge cummins diesel

that is way faster than any STR-10 i have ever raced

the closest vehicle that i ever raced was a viper

  • I've never seen an STR-10.

    Got pics?

BTW- if you're talking about the Gale Banks truck, that is NOT a production truck.

The GBWR clearly states the truck needs to be a production vehicle.

  • no man i mean a dodge ram 2500 diesel

    they pump crazy power

i seen this cummins at august blackout

    and it had 1080 hp

  • Again, that's not a STOCK PRODUCTION vehicle, which is what Guinness requires.

1080hp tells me that the smoker has been HEAVILY modified.

I'm sure it's fast as hell and can probably pull a 4-story building, but it's not going in the GBWR. Sorry.

  • still i have seen a stock diesel beat a srt-10

  • Show me/us.

  • i want a srt 10...

  • I still thing 500BHP is still timid on what you could really get out of the V10 But still it is awesome.

  • very nice truck i love the srt10 stock its so fast but ive seen guys twin turbo those trucks arnd they are super fast i would love to own one but hey i still own a dodge truck but not an srt10 not enough cash! lol nice truck!

  • Thanks!

My friend Stinker has a 1030hp twin turbo that's disturbingly fast. The thing sucks in so much air at idle you'd think he stuck a wet/dry vac under the hood. LOL

If you check out the silver QC listed in the "Related Videos" section, that's my friend Mike's 'SuperTank': supercharged w/N20...it's a 10 sec., 6000 lb., non-aerodynamic truck. :-)

  • very nice they are awsome trucks! mopar or car!

  • Hey nice truck dude, did that push start button come with the truck or did you install it. Cause personally, I usually don't see those.

  • Thanks.

The SRT-10 trucks came with the push-button start.

Same setup as the Viper car.

  • Damn dude. Grow some balls and drive that thing. Right now your driving it like a little bitch. Go trade it in for a kia fag.

  • *yawn* Let's try this again, for those that are late to the class:

Stop by ANY TIME. I'd be happy to take you to a track and wink your sphincter.

This was shot on PUBLIC ROADS on a WEEKDAY with NO TRAFFIC CONTROL. You bet your ass I did the speed limit.

As stated in the previous comments, this video was just a test of the camera rig I built. If you're expecting 160mph driving, head over to the Lambo videos.

    Thanks for comin' out.

And go fix your scroll wheel.

  • Great Dodge!

  • 20 mpg? Seriously? I thought it was rated 9/12 or something ridiculously low.

  • I'd be happy to post a pic of the overhead MPG computer.

I think the guys at the EPA had the same problem most owners have: keeping their foot off the throttle. :-D

  • Is your truck stock? I see the gauge on the driver side A-pillar...

  • The A-pillar oil temp. gauge is stock.

  • :| i dont like american cars but movie are not bad=DONT FEED THE DUCKS !

  • please dont feed the ducks !!

  • What town in what state is this ??? Looks like upstate New York.

  • Columbus, OH

  • great thanks ;):)

  • whats the song thats playing ?

    :pnice engine sound

  • The band was called Nasty Rox, Inc. They only did one album back in the late 80's.

Tracks (in order on the video):

    1- 9th Wonder

    2- Blow

    3- Escape From New York

  • Pretty cool video right up until you blew by the school bus. Deflate your balls!

  • The school bus was empty and the driver slowed down to allow me to pass.

The speed limit on that section of road is 50mph.

Please read ALL the comments before re-posting the same question. Thanks.

  • please dont feed the ducks lol

  • Damn nice Truck!

    i like that its stick!

Gas must be killing you though!

  • hell yeah gas must be killing, that must be the second car

  • Actually it's my daily driver.

Gas is better than my Durango. The only real difference is that I now pay for 'Premium' whereas the Durango got 'Silver'. I think it's something like $2.45 extra per tank. Worth it in my book.

On a recent trip to Orlando, I averaged almost 20 mpg (with more than 1000 lbs. in the back!). Careful driving, smooth shifting, and running at night helped.
