  • No, I just use short grain white rice - cal rose, for example. There is a much more expensive sweet sushi rice, but I haven't been able to tell the difference.

  • Cone sushi is Inari sushi - sushi in a marinated bean curd pouch. I am familiar with temaki - or hand roll sushi.

  • why you use canned tuna? what's the matter, you can't find any raw tuna. why you use imitation crab meat, in your sushi? there's canned crab in any supermarket; which is either the 6 or 6.5 oz can. i bought 5 cans of geisha brand crab meat, from publix. that's right real crab meat.

  • Canned tuna is a Hawaiian thing - they use it often in futomaki sushi. I have only seen fresh crab - which I would prefer over canned. But I have seen a lot of "california" roll done on a budget with the imitation crab. Thanks for the information.
