Debo reconocer que me equivoqué.La KBS Orchestra es de Corea del Sur, pero como todos los orientales se parecen, de ahí el error. En lo que no me equivoco, estoy seguro, es en la belleza de la interpretación.

Cuan bello es observar que culturas tan altas como la japonesa, reconozcan la belleza de la música occidental, en especial de esta pieza, rararmente interpretada en Occidente. No se mucho de música pero la interpretación me parece impecable.

Very tight performance. The full chorus gets a little lost in the mix (around 18:00) and at times the piano is too prominent, but this is a recording matter.

Beautiful, restrained performance. You can hear the discipline of the players, and of Beethoven himself, in this. Its a quality that often gets lost when performers try to sell the 'romantic' aspects of the music too hard. Bravo.

So Beethoven asked God to send a Korean cherub to play piano. Crystal technique, he feels the music, I could see the orchestra players listening to him in some awe. A very 'classical' performance, beautifully judged.

It was sad to see the empty seats at this performance. If this was in North America it would be sold out for this performance of Beethoven. This pianist played it perfectly. He should have got a standing ovation. I hope sometime he will come to Edmonton,Alberta to play. Give this pianist 5 stars for the performance, but 3 stars to the guy in charge of the camera's. He could have done a lot better.

@Videogamerfan1441 Let me explain~ The performance was broadcasted live across the country AM 01:00 in 1st,Jan,2011. without The contents of the notice.(KBS merely gave a notice was New Year Concert) ..Thus I also did hastily record this performance.....For this reason,The Audience had not any information of The performance and No one expected that they would be enjoying Beethoven's Choral Fantasy~~

@Videogamerfan1441 um..this is not Korean Broadcasting System orchestra's formal concert, but is a kind of fusion open concrt consisted of classical, traditional, musical, cross-over performance, as public bradcasting station of south Korea, KBS hold many simmilar concerts for air, and the ticket of this kind of concerts is sent to orphanages, silver home, volenteer organizations.. for free, and KBS sympony orchestra itself has many volonteering visiting performance program, this is that..

@Videogamerfan1441 It is a truly sparkling performance, isn't it? There are of course plenty of details one can criticize. I think it's a bit too fast in the Finale and bombast comes at the expense of both clarity and nuance, but what's not to like??? It's a great joy to play and sing [it,] and brings me plenty of enjoyment to listen to this performance too. Barenboim and BPO is (thus far) the best artistry overall, but that doesn't make other renditions less beautiful.
