The sanctions did not kill any Iraqis. It was Saddam who was killing his own people. Remember also that the Reagan and Poppa Bush administrations sold Saddam chemical weapons so he could use on Iranian troops and Iraqi civilians. They loved Saddam even though he was brutal. Remember also that Poppa Bush killed 100,000 Iraqis in the 1991 Persian Gulf War.

Clinton oversaw the war in Kosovo, it's true. And that conflict didn't degrade our international standing, had a minimum of U.S. casualties, and was wrapped up within the time of his administration, instead of being left as a legacy for another president to clean up.

These violations led to the U.S.-led coalition to resume hostilities in 2003. The justifications for the 2003 conflict are written in the cease-fire agreement of 1991.

Those asserting that they are two different conflicts are sadly mistaken. It's only one Iraq War.
