This film might be American funded but the leads are Australian, the director is English and a so is a lot of the cast. It was all shot in England too. Robin Hood wasn't a real guy he was a mythical figure. This isn't about America its just about money. The original concept for this movie was called Nottingham and was written from the perspective of the Sheriff. He was the good guy and Robin was the criminal. Sounded cool but they chickened out.

@thiswonderfullife To be a top actor Now, the ability to act, and do it all in a particular regional accent is a talent that gives you a definite Edge. More versatility. Russel Crowe and Cate Blanchett both have that versatility. Look at their other movies. A good example; check Ray Winstone and Jude Law in "Cold Mountain", you'd never know they were English if you didn't already know.
