@knuckes152. I think what you are seeing in the video as somewhere I did a rewind, is actually where I spliced the video together. When I made this video, forza 3 only allowed you to upload 30 second clips to your account to be made available for download. I then had to take the ten or so clips and splice them together. I'll admit, I didn't do a very good job with that haha.

@Mk3DubVR Actually if you practice the same track with the same car quite a bit, eventually you find all its sweet spots and all the happy corner entry speeds. You also start to learn a number of tricks that make things easier, I often use my brakes even when my car is sideways, to enter a corner drifting at a much higher speed than I normally would. Just pick a car with good reliable control, and go drift one track a whole bunch. Mixing it up doesn't hurt either.

@DivineWindSerpent This is very true i took a peugeot 206 on that track and could score a faster time drifting then grip racing. Also to the OP try using the brakes not the ebrake. its harder 2 learn but you can get sharper angles, faster exits, and faster drifts.

the trueno and levin or basically the same BUT the trueno in forza 3 is the GT apex edition. it boasted better suspension and some differences to make the engine a little faster. the base trueno was also slightly faster then the levin as well.

i was wondering why in initial d people (like takumi) take drifting over grip, because ive done some "homework" and found that grip driving is generally always faster than drift... so if you're street RACING why drift? its not a drift competition, unless its for the sake of the anime? to make it look cooler?

its because some turns are really charp

and if ur going to use grip tactics you will lose a whole lot of speed

but drifting at a sharp turn

will basically leave u with a good result

so is forzas. forza just has more assists for newbie drivers to get used to the game. iv compared both games physics and found that forza is the better simulator. gt5 has more cars and better graphics but forza is more of a sim. plus the online and the painting system give it more of an edge. i like gt5 but im more of a simulation racer. i rarely use any assists except abs for online use. i mostly drift though i do race alot.

what helps me a lot is having a good amount of toe in in the rear and having a rear wing with decent downforce, it pulls your rear end straight so u can go more sideways and still come back.
