Fairuz is the greatest voice to sing hymns.

but unfortunately Madonna abused this heveanly voice and she but the hymns in the background of her songs "the Beast" and "Erotica"

as a Greek Orthodox obviously i don't speak the arabic language but these hymns no matter what is the language they speak to me.

By the way Fairuz has sunch a melancholic tone to her voice that makes it perfect for the Good Friday hymns

Φωνές υγρές και γεμάτες οδύνη, μια γλώσσα ψημένη στον πόνο, μας μεταφέρουν στη σωστή εποχή και στο σωστό τόπο...Τότε και εκεί όπου τα μεγαλύτερα μυστήρια εκτυλίσσονταν μπροστά στα μάτια κάποιων που δε μπορούσαν ή δεν ήθελαν να τα δουν...
