@7aya84 , you do not need to make it absolute all the time. If you will never copy the VLOOKUP formula to another cell, there is no need to make it absolute.
I am 14, and watching your videos to study for the expert test, i have already passed the certification, but I wanna pass the expert test. Your videos are perfect for this! Thank you!
Your wisdom and your skill in teaching is AMAZING! You not only make everything easy to understand but also make it FUN to learn! Love you and each video teaches me so much. I am so thankful for you! :) You ROCK the HOUSE!
Man you are amazing. Every other video i saw, they didn't explain everything. They rushed through all of there explanations and made it really hard to understand, but you made it so easy to understand. I had no idea how to use this VLOOKUP thing, and was asked to do it in an assignment, and hadn't really used excel, but after watching this video i was able to use it with ease. Thanks man you're a legend
Im having the weirdest problem and do not know how to solve this. Say you have a competition between 3 persons and you want the Vlookup to pinpoint a specifik name that has the highest score to insert it in a cell named "and the winner is" -> (next cell contains name).. Ive been twisting the =if and =Vlookup but cant figure it out.. It sounds EXTREMLY simple, but for the love of god, I cant solve it..
Yes that is what I have used and it will not work i have a data set with no "<2B' in the entire column and using that formula it says that there are 8 "<2B" in the column. Thanks
Great video, saving me hours of work. Can you plesae help me with this problem, I am using countif to count a large data set with '<2B' in the column. The count if will not count the '<' symbol do you know how i can make it count them, works fine on all others e.g 2B, 2P, 2A, 3B, 3P, 3A. Thank you
hi sir, you are very good at what you are doing, please can i ask if should i make the vlookup table abslute all the time or no need too ? thank you

@Decnet01 , if there could be duplicates:
Excel Magic Trick # 273: Extract Top 5 Records w Formula
or
Excel Magic Trick 409: VLOOKUP MAX Value, Return More Than 1 Record
If there are no duplicates. then a formula like =VLOOKUP(MAX(A1:A5),A1:B5,2,0) might work.

@ExcelIsFun , Try this:
=COUNTIF(A1:A4,"=>2B")
this way it will count only if there is the text ">2B" in cell.
The formula: =COUNTIF(A1:A7,"<2B")
will count anything greater than or equal to 2B -- for example it would count 2C or 5B because alphabetically then are greater than 2B.

@tmftmftmf , a formula like this should work just fine:
=COUNTIF(A1:A7,"<2B")

@ExcelIsFun , better yet:
=COUNTIF(A1:A4,"=>2B")
this way it will count only if there is the text ">2B" in cell.
The formula: =COUNTIF(A1:A7,"<2B")
will count anything greater than or equal to 2B -- for example it would count 2C or 5B because alphabetically then are greater than 2B.
