@smuggeler I am working on such a video right now. Stay tuned, it will be up within a month. Part 1: mounting and aligning the scope. Part 2: sighting it in at the range. ted.
you are really good!have U thought, you might be hired by the Queen or CIA or KGB?, who knows/ all I know is that U are the best shooter in the country, have you decided 2 join the olympics? I think all mates would hate you 4 taking all the gold!
@plumberbob85 I think they are great! They have a self-contained power source and many are very affordable. They just take more practice to shoot properly, due to the unique forward recoil. Springers will always be the cornerstone of the airgun market.
@EdgunUSA how is the proper way to shoot a break barrel pellet gun?? i find it vibrates which puts off my shot if you like you can see my airgun on my channel :)
BTW im using a 4x32 scope at 60 yards is that to small of a scope ? also how can tell were to shoot at different ranges?? like if its zeroed in for 60 yards and i need to take a 30 yard shot how do i know were to look on the scope?? plz help me will be vary appreciated thanks by any chance could you make a video on how 2 ??
holy freaking shit! u look like my pacific northwest history teacher!@!@!@! whats your name?? do you live in washington state???? sorry if i sound like a stalker, please reply though:) love your vids btw
I do not miss that humidity in Wisco. (or the mosquitoes haha)Although I would take in place for 115-120 degree sweltering heat in July-August. I miss the snow.
Hey you ever tried some of the crazy long Eun Jin pellets, like 16 gr in .177? I should think the BCs would be much better in the wind/long range shooting like you do.
Hey Ted, Great review of the Revolutin. I have one for sale on the yellow forum and after watching your video, it makes me want to keep it. The only reason I need to sell it is to fund another project. Maybe I can find another way.
Hi Ted I dont think 900 fps is too fast for the pellet, I use .20 daystate ft's in my Theoben Mk2 at 13.73 grain shooting 1060 fps 24 ich barrel fine. Maybe the barrel on the Fx is too short or bad batch of pellets. Know it wasn't your shooting as I could see the wobble. Thanks for the video, will stay with my Theoben :-
@CHOPERUS23 It is funny you mention this, Rich. I recently shot an AirWolf that was slinging 15.9gr JSB's at 1050fps - and doing it VERY accurately. I have been forced to "modify" my thoughts re: pellet speed. It seems that SOME guns are capable of shooting above 1000fps accurately. More often than not, I still believe that slowing things down will help improve [poor] accuracy. But, there certainly seem to be exceptions. Ted.
There are indeed Ted, many variables. One which that is very imortant at velocity is barrel length. I did have a 16" barrel on my Theoben and since increasing to a 24" barrel accuracy has improved greatly. 5 shots at 100 yards it not uncommon to plant 3 daystate ft's in the same hole(wind is a factor though). Airwolf's are a force to behold when you match them to the perfect pellet. I have grouped less than an inch at 100 yards with my 12ft/lb .177 Airwolf many times. Rich
Awesome rifle. Awesome reviews, shooting, channel, video production quality, and conservation ethics in all your stuff. As an avid airgun hunter, I'm so glad to have found your channel. Keep up the good work- it's appreciated.
Edgun I'm 13 and I hunt birds to what is a good gun should I get 400-500fps or 1000-2000fps and price is not a option make a video or a comment on this video??? Ps happy hunting
@CTG14133 small birds such as sparrows can be taken with as little as 600fps ( with an average weight lead pellet in .177), i wouldn't recommend anything lower as you risk an inhumane kill. for squirrels or grackles you want around 7-800 fps(with average weight lead pellet). Anything larger you want to use at least 1000fps. but do not hunt anything in excess of 15lbs in .177.
Hi I am loving you videos especially the rabbit hunt and cook need more of them but I'm wandering if you could do a classic improvement video ( crosman 1377 ) stock accuracy and then with like steel breach kit and stock and barrel upgrade would help me out alot thanks
Another excellent video Ted, as usual... You're totally right about being more accurate shooting objects than paper targets. I almost put a comment about that on your last video. I always start shooting a few groups and then grab an object way smaller than the group and hit it in a couple of shots. I have no idea why, but it seems to be more a psychological matter than anything else.
I understand you use pcp's and break barrels might not be your thing, but possibly if you could look at having a review for crosman. On the Benjamin(crosman) Trail NP hardwood .22 cal. If not its cool, love your videos. Keep it up theyre great!!
Please we want review of "Theoben MFR", there is no any review for this rifle on the you tube, it is the must expensive air rifle in airgunsofarizon store so there should be a reason for that, please we want the review as soon as you can.
Another Great video! are you sure the revolution has a smooth twist barrel? If so it must be some US thing cause all we can get is the Royal 400/500 and the Independence with smooth twist.
great review ,bud what an ugly looking rifle i dont like the air tank as the but of the rifle mybe im just ( old fashioned )hahaha........(WHERES THE HUNTING VIDS GONE)hahaha.......happy days.
@mrrabbiteye You are not the only one who thinks it looks ugly. I would never consider purchasing it. Maybe that is why they made another semi-automatic called FX monsoon. Now that one is a real beauty. The only issue I may have about buying it is that if you load pellets that are heavier than 16 grains some of the compressed air is going to escape before the pellets leaves the barrel. I do not know if that also holds true for the FX revolution.
maybe them tin pellets are too long and have a magnus effect, creating all kinds of weird lift, like a horizontal sail. i just picked up a gamo recon whisper over the weekend, hope to play with that soon :)
maybe those dynamic tin might be useful for my old beeman p14 as it groups low with daisy wadcutter(i do not reconmend this ammo nor gamo wad cutters even in .22), wide spread grouping with gamo masterpoint and shoots slightly below my front sight with gamo raptor which raptor seems to do well in all my air guns a well grouping round and varmint thumper out of my Remington air master 77, beeman p17, crossman 1377, and gamo hunter.
Indeed, the tin Dynamics must prefer the grooved Lothar Walther barrel. They group as well as the 18.1 JSBs out to 100 yards in my FX Monsoon, so a LW Revo may do better with the dynamics than this particular smooth-bbl version.
hey ted, im an airgun hunter myself but i like to stay under the P.A.L. requirement witch in canada is 495 fps & over. im looking to buy a .22 cal pellet gun, any recommendations?
can you do a video on how to line up your scope. becouse i cant fiver out how line up mine .thankyou
