One thing I like about Eva Airlines and China Airlines : They have ground crews waiving the passengers when we depart from the terminal. It is a simple guesture but very meaningful. It shows they care. When I travel to Asia, I prefer Eva Airlines, China Airlines or Singapore airlines. Singapore Airlines is a little bit pricy but dependable in terms of safety. I had only one bad experience from Singapore Airlines when I flew from Houston - Moscow - Singapore - Indonesia, the food was lowsy.

I believe EVA Air got rid of all 767 aircrafts and replaced by Airbus 330-300 years ago. However, Boeing their 777-300ER offers nice and comfortable cabin.

it's sad to see EVA selling or converting those 747-400 passenger aircrafts to BCF. I have been flying with EVA on those jumbo jets when it just started its LAX route. i will sure miss the "queen of the sky" with the EVA livery when the company retires the last 747-400 from passenger service.

Also, get your sources right. China Airlines has had such a bad safety record but has been improving and its service is good. (I'm Taiwanese and I know that, its common sense). EVA Air, on the other hand, is one of the safest airlines in the world. They have a pristine safety record; no accidents ever.

Air china is like pretty safe..what are you going on about? they only had one fatal crash in korea in 2002...China airline - the headquarters are in Taiwan..since 1970, the airline averaged 6.44 fatal crash per million.

as for EVA- I know they haven't had a fatality since 1991 but the service that I got last time was shit...that gave me a bad first impression

No this is not the one in EVA duty free. I bought that CD and later found out that it wasn't. And yes this is the actual song when boarding and final approach. Deluxe is actually a good class compare to other airline. It has a good seat pitch and leg room. You will like it.

The CD indidcated that it was the boarding song. But it was just various taiwanese orchestra songs which really sounds nice.... The service in deluxe is really great and EVA is almost getting on the competition with the "bigs" like singapore airlines since EVA is doing some major modernization on its aircraft. :-) Singapore airlines though on the other hand is more expensive than eva air but both are great airline but singepore is a little bit better though.
