  • Tubbs does a Brazillian Jiu Jitsu counter to the headlock. Awe-soooommeeee

  • Brilliant. My favorite TV show of all time. Has anything even come close to matching it since? This scene is a perfect example of how well the show mixed style with substance. Great song by the way...

  • @haro82 100% agree. Nothing has come close since.

  • Dang Ron Pearlman (Hellboy) was young here! Cool!

  • the drums are sick in this song!!!!

  • 'At least they were judged by a jury of their peers'... one of my favorite episodes from this series. Thanks for posting.

  • Brilliant. No TV show made such synthesis between MTV vids and movie narration. Have you noticed the clock needle which moves exactly on the drum beat at 0:30 s ? The story is synchronised to the music. Even for the incidental music played by Jan Hammer who played and recorded in live conditions in its studio creating its music while discovering the new shots sent by the production. This level of fusion between image story and music is unique. Actors acted like movie stars too, not TV stars.

  • This is such a great scene. And a great episode overall. And the guy that says "back off!" in the end is Clay Morrow from Sons of Anarchy! Which btw is a series every Miami Vice fan should watch as it has some of the same elements that made Miami Vice such a delight to watch.

  • @webmatros Yeah, there are defintitely similaraties like a good blend of action, drama and music. Zobelle even reminds me a bit of J.J. Johnston from "The Prodigal Son". By the way, there is a fan based initiative to get Miami Vice back on the air. If you'r interested, google "Miami Vice 2 screenplay" for the script of a reunion movie with the original cast. The script was written by a fan who hopes this tv movie could be the stepping stone for a new generation of Vice series.

  • @jaybloke100a I doubt Miami Vice will ever go back on the air with new episodes, and it'd almost certainly never be comparable to the old episodes. Anyway, Prodigal Son is one of my favourite episodes, really good, watched it over and over;-)

  • This is such a great scene.

  • Olmos Rules.

  • Whoah Laurence Fishburne that bad guy?

Liked the show when it was on the air, lost interest when Crockett went off the reservation. Looking back, the tactical situations were ridiculous. Spent more money on each episode than Miami PD's yearly budget. Still it bears the unmistakable Micheal Mann touches.

  • The climax to one of their baddest eps!

  • This is such a damn fine song!! Instrumental is almoust better than singed version.. there is so sad lyrics... I got both songs on original Vinyls :)

  • 3:56 Tubbs appears out of nowhere !

  • @Marsteef Marsh, Tubbs knew when to dive for cover.

  • i got this song on mw2 music tape

  • Lol shit, I forgot Ron Pearlman was in this episode.

  • @HuDaFuK I know, and I loved it, because he had bitched about the 2nd season, so there he was in the underrated 3rd season.

  • Amazing!!! I´ll never forget the serie

  • Tubbs 1 - Morpheus 0

  • i agree with you guys with everything. i have and always love this series, it was a great era for great music as well. what a blend, great tracks and a great show what more can you ask for eh guys?! tim

  • Awesome series and always a perfect song for the situation! One of my favourite showdowns of the series! ;-)

  • 2:43 NICE Shooting´s of Castillo !! jaja

  • thanks for posting this - one of my favourite songs from the series

  • Castillo is... "capo di tutili capo"

  • Lt. Castilo goes into a corrupt prison with armed guards as if he's just going into a grocery store. He's definitely the most cool and chilled out character in the show XD

  • That's 70 years since the Frog- Faced Mason patronised us Brits and Canadians, Asians, New Zealanders, Aussies, West Indians, South Africans and Rhodesians et al in order to make sure Teutonic rope wasn't put round HIS neck.

Wake up to the bullshit. They're all the fukkin same...

  • Very nice!..... I have this Miami Vice album on original cassette tape! :) The Winston Churchill dub mix is super cool too! :)

  • I'm a huge Damned fan. My husband is a huge Miami Vice fan. And he never told me about this.

  • Simply Brilliant!!

  • the only mistake that movie version made (in my opinion) was not bringing back Olmos as Castillo...Olmos's age now would have fit the movie perfectly but Mann probably couldn't get him because of BSG

  • Classic! Vice = best show ever.

  • Never really liked this episode,boring,anti-climactic.Once the plot is revealed your looking at the clock, waiting for the predictible rescue.Season 3's best are ''shadow in the dark ''el viejo''''forgive us our debts'' and ''lend me an ear''.Red tape and streetwise are pretty entertaining, with clever, and bleak storylines.Though it can be tough to ignore lou diamond phillips and bill paxton always hamming it up.

  • Don't forget a young Laurence Fishbourne.

  • Jeez did Ron Perlman EVER look young?!?

  • @Boltivator Ron Perlman? I thought that that was Ron Burgundy. Seriously, no - the guy has always looked sort of haggard.

  • 02:46 Bisley stance.

  • Comment removed

  • @jcfbell3001 : no joke my friend. Shooting while lying on the back was a regular part of sniping on the English Bisley range in the 1900`s where many sniping techniques were developed.

  • Fucking awesome!!!!

  • Awesome vice soundtrack, one of my favorites along with the first episode (Phil Collins of course) and Little Miss Dangerous (Order of Death by Public Image)

  • change that

on this video very bad sop's

    worse than a boy scout.

    great ost though

  • Ace song by the best band ever The Damned

  • Love how castillo goes all ninja/samurai/whatever at 0:02 ...horse stance and everything

  • yeah i saw that but it's weak, no 360 awareness. me being picky or knowing more. who cares im nostalgia trippin cos i have these ost on tapes in a box. just the other day i got vibes to look up on u tube. as this world stands now lives in the balance is still true. from gulf war 1990-1 i have thought about this. today here is your enemy, tomorow here is your enemy. wait a faakin minute. it doesnt work like that. unless the enemy is the politician. what do i know? check my page please

  • Yeah, but couldn't they have parked a little closer to the gate?

  • Anyone know what pistol Castillo`s carrying? Seems odd for a revolver to have seven shots and some reserve?

  • a six shot .357 magnum. The seventh shot was typical hollywood firearm ignorance. If you notice, during many gunfights on Miami Vice, the semi-auto firearms are stuck in the open slide position as if they are empty after one or two shots. This is due to the insufficient power of blank cartridges to operate the slide properly. I like guns alot, does it show?

  • My favorite song to!

  • haha from 3:57 to 3:59...they put the two takes together! MV did a great job of covering glitches but this one is an editor's mistake lol.

  • has any cop show been this good ever since?

  • @vambo98 No.

  • @vambo98

    "The Wire" and "The Shield".

  • @vambo98 Life On Mars (UK) Great music, well written, fantastic camaraderie between Tyler and Hunt.

  • @vambo98 the shield...and they took it off as well.

  • @vambo98 only one that comes to mind is of course Nash Bridges

  • @vambo98 I think Nash Bridges is not bad. Don Johnson plays a captain. Tubbs come back from NY to see him in some episodes.

  • @vambo98 Not THIS good!

  • @vambo98 the shield. but vice was just so well done, and ahead of its time.

  • @vambo98 In my opinion, the best miami vice episodes were done from 1985 thru 1986.

  • @vambo98 nope

  • @vambo98 Never ever! : ) This is the best I've seen. It's hard to beat.

  • @vambo98 none before, none after man.

  • @vambo98 uh, no cop show has even been close! Best cop show ever!!

  • @vambo98

miami vice destroyed everyone in it's way

  • This episode was Tight !!!!!!!!!

  • Holy shit, I totally forgot Ron Pearlman was in this ep!

  • I still can't figure how they managed to have such cool music on this show...

...they even had an episode with Suicidal Tendencies doing a cameo: playing their song "Institutionalized" in a club

I remember I was like 'What the hell'?

(we didn't have WTF back then, har har)

  • NBC literally gave Michael Mann a license to spend, without any regulation of the music he wanted to put on his show!

-And to this day... nobody knows music like Michael Mann!

  • one of my favorite scene on miami vice

  • Sweet.

  • From 0:38 to 0:50.... Brilliant scene! :X

  • This is the best MV episode together with Shadow in the dark from the same season. There is another segment earlier in this episode with the same song when Tubbs is set up to go into prison under cover to get the bad guards. MV what a great series. Never before or after MV has so many guest stars gone onto be super stars on their own. Larry Fishburne, Bruce Willis, Julia Roberts, Kyra Sedgwick, Liam Neeson, Benicio del Toro, Anette Bening, Viggo Mortensen, Helena Bonham Carter. Unbeatable

  • bad ass

  • This song made such an impression on me when I heard it for the first time on Miami Vice that I spent the next 10 years trying to track it down. Finally somebody listed all the songs for MV on the Internet and I was able to identify it. The chords, the lyrics, the drumming, the guitars -- it's just a brilliant song.

  • And they are still touring around. The singer - Dave vanian - has such a beautiful voice.

  • God Castillo is so badass.

  • zeker aan te bevelen de hele dvdbox en eventueel alle vinylplaten cq cd.s van alle muziek uit de serie, alle muziek klopt ook bij alle fragmenten, topserie met nog betere geselecteerde muziek.....

  • This is my absolute favorite episode of all Miami Vice episodes. This video is also great. Thanks for upping this!!

  • Hey is that Laurence fishburne off CSI at 3:58 and the guy who is hellboy as one of the cops at 4:26

  • Morphious..... from the matrix?

  • Yes on both counts. Miami Vice got some great guest stars.

  • yes, there are prob over 100 actors who are fairly still well known today that were on MV

  • Such a great episode worked around a great song! My only gripe is Castillo shooting his 6 shot .357 magnum 7 times but that is a small gripe. They should have shown him reloading his weapon once and crazy gun freaks like me would be satisfied!! I miss this great show.

  • That's because Castillo was such a badass his .357 reloaded itself!

  • HEY HEY! Thanks for posting this gem from vice season 3! One of my favorite scenes from the series. It showcases Castillo which always gives the series a extra edge.LUV it!!!!!!!!

  • Miami Vice = 1980s

  • HHmmm.. In original Soundtrack of Miamivice II. This song is instrumental, exept back singers. That Instrumental version is my favourite. I got that Vinyl.

  • Brilliant...This was one of my favorite episodes of Miami Vice and the soundtrack is simply class.I`ve been looking for this music since the late 80`s and never thought i`d hear this again!! Many thanks for posting it.All the best FEZ

  • This episode of Miami Vice ('Walk-Alone') is available on DVD: ("MIAMI VICE season 3")

  • One of Season 3's best scenes. Your "high quality" version is better quality than my dvd version of the episode!

  • Walk Alone me encanta, en especial este pasaje con esta excelente cancion de los Dammed y la actuacion de uno de los mejores actores latinos de la historia segun mi opinion.

  • LT mexican castillo is the man latino baby he the better man than don johnson

  • Castillo was AWESOME!! Loved him in the episode, "Bushido."

This was THE BEST television show that has EVER been produced! The impact that it has on fashion, music, and so many other aspects are examples of how this show was so incredible!!

    'Miami Vice' is simply legendary!

  • i always laugh at castillo kick at the door

  • En este episodio se nota al maximo la personalidad de castillo en la serie.

    Muy buen epoisodio y musica.

  • One of the best Castillo moments. Too bad that season 4 and 5 went downhill.

  • Jeez! at 02:46 he shoots like a SWAT sniper!

  • At least they (Fox & Hammer) got a jury of their own peers! This scene is one of my favs of the entire series.

  • This is, in my humble opinion. one of THE BEST episodes of both season three as well as the entire series.

I LOVE how Jan Hammer chose to use "The Damned" in this episode!! It really sets the tone and mood in the two scenes where it was used!!

I LOVE all episodes of Vice...but this is ONE of the better ones.

  • very very good episode for the third season..excellent music and ending..great guest star cast also!

  • Damn! I love this song! I use to hear it alot when I lived in Europe!!!!!!!! Yeah Baby!!!!!

  • God, this was one of my all-time favorite episodes! SO glad to find it here! Using (The Damned) for this episode was a master-stroke! Great stuff!!

  • ten epizod i ten kawalek.....Super!!!! the Damned the best!!!!!!!

  • QUe gran tema de The Dammed y que buen episodio de Miami Vice,

    Grande Castillo

  • This episode of Miami Vice ('Walk-Alone') is available on DVD: ("MIAMI VICE season 3")
