  • Nice job.

  • brettwill87 i have done 25sqm ceilings by myself of stilts and had them come up a treat(though i try to keep them around 16-20sqm so i don't have to bust arse).just because you can't do it doesn't mean no-one can.i will post a vid in the next month or so

  • @onyachamp ive done a 25sqm ceiling on my own but this one on the video is not 25sqm though is it its more when you have a ceiling this big why bust your ass when it would be easier to get someone in to help you the ceiling whould have a much nicer finish than if you done it on your own but then again your the best aint you no one is as fast and as good as you and where is that video your gonna post.

  • hahaha i agree with the first comment, as for the second no i'm not ,nor do i think i am the best ,fastest plasterer under the sun. that person is fictional.the last comment .... well fair enough it's been a while hasn't it. to be truthful i have done 2 ceilings in the last year, bit hard to film when i havent been doing them.

  • people on here make me laugh they just talk so much shit no one could piss that ceiling on their own if you did do it on your own it would be as rough as shit cause i dont care how fast you are by the time you got 2 coats on that ceiling the plaster would have set rock hard and you wouldnt be able to trowel it in and if some one reckons they could do it on their own i would love to see a video it would be a laugh

  • ime up 4 it mate i can do a 70 sq meter ceiling on my own and gess wot it looks the nuts lol its nackering though

  • why would you ever bother coating the whole cieling in plaster? flush the joins and the screw holes in base coat , sand it then topcoat it. simple easy and alot less work

  • murfdogga, the resotration was intended to reproduce as closely as possible the techniques used by the original builders in the early 19th century. More work, but more historically accurate.

  • what is the white stuff ?is it one coat...?

we do 2 coats of multi ..

  • id do that on me own no bother

  • That's what I was thinking, I have seen British plasterers do that kind of stuff in minutes, mirror smooth first coat. Guess American builders are like jacks of all trades and masters of none.

  • I was tought by a Welsh Plasterer and there is no way in the world anyone could do that amount in "minutes" It takes time and its not worth knocking anyone if you have yet to try it yourself..

  • what country u guys from the states?

  • FOUR guys working on one ceiling?!!

I reckon these boys might be better suited to musical theater...

  • your dead right id piss that on my own 2

  • thank you very much for this video very helpfull great job guys

  • who the best material?white(one coat)coat,or the finishing,multifinishing?in price,work (quality and aplication)because the white coat plaster,it's similar at hispanico,portugues plaster,I'm curious that'so

  • Primomate,

The water is used to help smooth out the surface. After the white coat is applied it immediately starts to lose moisture to the brown coat (even after the brown coat is soaked with sprayers). So the plasterers use the brush put water back onto the surface of the plaster so that the friction of the trowel on the white coat will be reduced, resulting in a smoother finish.

  • Can i ask, why do you have to put water on the plastered surface with the brush? your work looks good, i can imagine the finish.
