  • She is ninja! My ears can barely keep up with her fingers.

  • 3:55 mario kart jump XD

  • Unless you haters can back your comments up with a performance of your own, a reality check is in order. This woman is amazing, this performance is stunning. You = nothing. :P

  • @almskaya You can't play Beethoven without emotion. You just can't.

  • I loved that.. But the pauses in the music felt awkward and wry forced by the player. It was great though.

  • yeah good technique, but lacks some emotion that beethoven intented for this piece

  • wow that was unique....

  • crazy beethoven style 8-}8-}8-}

  • Wery, wery good technic, but fake emotions..

  • @brandonscherrer

Shut up. The third movement is supposed to be fast. Youre probably thinking of the first movement you sun of a bitch

  • OMG!!!!!! O_O

  • 288 Persone sono gelose -.-"

  • Amazing. O_O

  • Absolutely wonderful! Thank you!

  • 288 people must be racist/misogynist, as I can't think of any other reason to dislike one of the great performances of one of the most technically difficult and most brilliant compositions in all of musical history. This was incredible.

  • wow amazing job wish I had 1/2 that talent

  • the strength, the emotion, to the extreme, but controlled,

it is really Beethoven! it is sublime!

  • why is it so fast i heard it b4 it was a tad bit slower. oh well

  • look at that green lightsaber!!! you have to hold the red side.

  • asiaten übertreiben es immer -,-

  • This is harder than playing call of duty

  • I clapped! WOW, and Bravo!!

  • Wow

  • Lol 0:20 made my day... and the music made my year :)

  • holy BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Bravo!!!!!

  • daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaammmnnn

  • She can play this piece to perfection!

  • @SmokingHotGuitar I think the only person to play that to true perfection is Maestro Wilhelm Kempff... all else are just near perfection or less.

  • @CE750 Not so! can you play it? it also depends on what you define as true perfection. She does a very good job. Wilhelm did an excellent job, but was not that articulate as she is in some of the passages.

  • @SmokingHotGuitar - she plays the standard interpretation.

  • @dankwarth like I said which do you play?

  • @SmokingHotGuitar that is your opinion, and I have mine. peace.

  • @CE750 Peace, however since you seem so insistive as to her playing is 2nd hand I must ask: can you play this piece? I KNOW you can't. period. I can!

    take care.

  • Essa nao é a Sonata ao Luar....

  • Is that a Steinway and Sons?

  • @F073921 -.- duh

  • @F073921

    Yes it is.

  • Asians... So Pro

  • Yes you can see Steinway and sons and the logo, even with 240p haha.

  • How can anyone play for that long and fast and not get tired?..... o__o

  • @makkakman its a steinway definitly, i can see the steinway's logo

  • she didn't take the repeat?

  • whats the piano brand please? not a steinway or Bösendorfer

  • A.Z.N.

  • :-))))

  • how can people dislike this. its even harder than playing call of duty

  • @pennersindcool hahaha! not so! what about D-Day on veteran...

  • @pennersindcool *LOL* Interesting comparison XD

  • @pennersindcool Definitely. =D

  • @pennersindcool How can you even compare this to some game?

  • @pennersindcool cod isnt hard mate;P

  • Comments are stupid. I know it.

  • Very nice interpretation. Excellent sensations.

    Very nice pianist.

  • hmm great played .... But lacking all the Emotion ... Played like its written ... and wayyyyyy to fast

  • @almskaya Lacking emotion? LOL! did you even watch the damn video? I've never seen more emotion in a video. The third movement Is rather fast and this is loosely accurate. I'm going to assume you thought you were watching the first or second movement.

  • @almskaya post a video of yourself playing with the "emotion" you want

  • @almskaya How can it be played how it's written and too fast???

  • @almskaya way to fast? how would you even have the faintest idea regarding the tempo of the piece? would you know how Beethoven wanted the piece to be played in terms of interpretation, expression or tempo? You wouldn't know if this is exactly how Beethoven wanted the piece, maybe you should think about what you think this piece is meant to convey to the audience, then match it with this interpretation.

  • I want married her ! From France. Roquefort, fromage, vin, romantism !

  • Wilhelm Kempff is better!

  • I love piano...... Especially THIS

  • OMG !! It's super brilliant playing... fantastic technique.

  • I want to be a japanese pianist ! :'3

  • This (Moonlight Sonata 1 & 3) is my favourite classical piece ever and she is just BRILLIANT!

  • bomrushing the piano, love this kind of music.

  • Hammer!!!!!!

  • i bet she has a wicked trigger finger

  • i like her smile when she plays 'dolce' ; )

  • That's my VIRTUOSO MOM!

  • :O

  • Love it what talent and thanks for sharing.

  • wonderful, fabulous performance, i really enjoy it, thanks.

  • Love the power, great interpretation!

  • So what she made a mistake, it's still awesome. I play this piece to, but a little bit slower.

  • Beautiful and impressive ...

  • She makes an mistake at 1:12 - 1:15 or she didn´t? Sorry for my bad english

  • @DjDexman Yep, but that's normal

  • Comment removed

  • Beautiful

  • Very professional..I just wonder, Is it just me, or did I really hear a wrong note at 1:14??

  • @invincibleman100 who cares its awesome

  • @invincibleman100 - So what if you did? Why do you people feel the need to come on these videos and point this out?

  • @Redfield67 No Sir..I'm not here to point out mistakes, I'm too musically illiterate to even criticize such a great performance of a great musician , It's just sth that my ear caught and wanted to know if I am right or what I heard was simply no mistake.. Otherwise I visited this page to enjoy a piece of music that I really love and appreciate, so stop acting as if we're all retards and u're the only person here who appreciates Major music ok?

  • well done !! Beethoven would have approved.

  • Too much emphasis

  • Comment removed

  • Very good !!!!!

  • This performance shows passion.

  • so one uses the pedal for moonlight movement 3

  • There is indeed a lot of feeling in it. Some parts she plays slower and adds short breaks.

  • yes. her song feels planned

  • she hits the notes but where is the feeling?

  • She forgot Love

  • I hit the "like" button like this woman was hitting the piano keys. multiple times.

  • that was an amazing performance!

great dynamic contrast and really accurate!!!!!!

    it's inspiring...

  • he is dead but he played better than this women

  • @Acimir99 He also used the word "woman" instead of "women" in the correct context.

  • it's amazing

  • the best !

  • Stop shitting about the dislikes people!

This video has some poor quality and the performer isn't awesome either.

  • @FIXOVECIJA ive seen this woman live, amazing, its the video quality

  • 271 dislike?? wtf with those people :S???

  • She looks like she's having an orgasm!

  • @just4fun123456789101 Lol, that´s the sign of a true musician. All great musicians look like they are making love to their instruments :P.

  • @ne77s - agreed! i watched a recording of myself playing piano, i was gonna upload it to ye olde youtube but it was music porn, I daren't show it to my kids lol

  • amazing and beautiful!

  • Bravo!!!!!! Anyone who dislikes this performance is a "fool". She IS channeling Beethoven himself!

  • @jnthneagles Nahh, watch Wilhelm Kempff play this, He is channeling Beethoven.

  • @Luxifer5 - i read that as "he is challenging Beethoven" lol

  • Why every 3rd movement of moonlight sonata have so much hate on its comments?

  • @Tsadey So I'm not the only one who has thought the same! I believe it's because of how different pianists have interpreted this fantastic piece. IMO, this very fact is a clear example of the extent of the composer's musical genius... And of the extent of some people narrow-mindedness >_>

  • @Tsadey Cause they can't play this :p

  • Strong yet not shrill. Amazing!

  • Here's why I like Seta's version better than Kempff's: 1) She separates the two cantabile voices very clearly. 2) Unique: She inserts a pause (tempo rubato) just long enough to allow the sound-board to ring-down or dampen between the "forte" and "pianissimo" phrases -- so they don't collect in the soundboard as a muddy pool. The academic tendency of modern pianists is to push the phrases to fast, to tightly end to end, and it overloads the pure wood. Kempff is a superbly trained pianist.

  • This was not good. I hope you guys are hearing how far off she really is too, cause the beginning was pretty terrible.

  • @MyPianoWish upload your video mother fucker

  • @pipe99chumby Why dont you read some comments and find out that what i wrote is actually correct. And for a 22 year old, people expect more than a respectless comment sounding like a 10 yr old whining.

  • @MyPianoWish Please... upload your video.... show me your talent

  • @pipe99chumby Good job, again proving that your "knowledge" of piano music is at zero. There are no problem learning this song, but it takes lots of time that i would rather spend on other songs. Anyway, have fun acting up to other people, as you will yet again will fail to do.

  • @MyPianoWish sorry.. you are the genious... you are amazing... you are so smart... omg i think i love you....... you need attention... poor guy...

  • very poor , played far too fast, the pianist obviously believes people are going to watch dexterity and not listen to beautiful music

  • @Bananayoghurt1000 The movement's name is "Presto Agitato" -- she set a tempo slightly beyond her hands' capability at the time, but this movement is intended fast. Kempff has more disciplined fingers, but he muddles the dynamics by pushing the phrases into the wood faster time, physics & instrument design allow them to dampen or clear. She can separate the melodies, and Kempff does not.

  • was hoping yuja wang played this. Would be amazing!!! haha. But this lady is great too!

  • Wow I didnt know Satan had a Youtube?

Unless the people of this world just have no taste in music at all.

  • I prefer Kempff

  • A lot of you get this twisted. Kempf plays with wonderful feeling and I agree to it but his tempo lacks. She plays this as it is intended to be played. Kempf cannot possibly match this speed or else he would have done so. This movement of the sonata sounds as if it is intended to be a showpiece. So if there is to be feeling over technicality, it should be expressed in the first two movements and the third should have attention mainly on technical performance and some on feeling.

  • @thelizardking887 This is a fabulous rendition of the third movement, but by no means does the speed make it "played as intended" If all you're interested in is speed my friend. I've got some incredible Black Metal for you to try out or you could give Valentina Lisitsa's rendition a listen. Either way Whether it be Kempff, Atsuko or Lisitsa. This is a marvelous movement.

  • @thelizardking887

Why are technicality and feeling mutually exclusive? I feel that Seta's rendition has a lot of feeling to it, if less than that of Kempf.

  • @ExNihilMetal I too feel her rendition has a ton of feeling. Kempf is much like Segovia in his older age paying more attention to feeling. I was simply stating that this part of the piece is meant to showcase technicality OVER feeling, not to say that feeling be overlooked.

  • Given that I would pay to be able to play as fast as this girl, I must say that this is not the style I would ever play Beethoven. I agree with many previous comments: listen to Kempff and you will discover a completely different music.

It's all in deciding if you want just to exhibit yourself or you want to really 'play Beethoven': Kempff does the latter.

    My 2 cents.

  • sounds like a chinese computer game

  • sorry I don't know english well. this words is 100% right : if Mozart, Haidni and Beethoven would not be in our world, the music will not existence!!!

  • @Fastallesversteher Agree. The japanese (and chinese) always seem to focus more on speed and flashy movements. It's like having sex; Kempff caresses you and tells you that he loves you and puts his soul into it. Seta just wants to get it over with as fast and hard as possible. No orgasm :'(

  • No heart, no soul. I prefer Kempff dozen times.

  • @Fastallesversteher I agree with you. I also prefer Kempff.

  • valentina plays the best rendition of this!!!!!

  • She missed the repeat.....tut tut

  • Wow. Just Wow.

  • it's just genius!!!!

  • no, no, no. Goes against everything I know and like about Beethoven.

    Sounds loud and flashy, superficial

  • @iniminimni cosign!

  • I agree with zrouth. not bad. but willhelm kempff>

  • Besides few mistakes, she played it excellent

  • Wilhelm Kempff owns this chick. Not bad tho

  • @zrouth tru that =D

  • @zrouth i agree

  • @zrouth hey come on!! she's asian!!

  • amaaaaaaaaaaaaazing
