given practice and cultivate a love of the art that seem to already be present and you could have a world class fencer in a few decades. technique isnt that important, least not at that age, that he likes it and wants to do it, thats the important part, technique will naturally follow.
The youngest I have ever coached was a 3 year old and she actually has good form. Its kinda awkward when you see kids this young show such athleticism and then you go look at other kids who are 8 who can't even lunge properly or take instruction.
