Take a remote controlled helicopter, get that extension thing on him so he can hover over the table and enable you any fucking shot that you like.
Pool will soon start to look like golf.
Ronnie O' Sullivan and a 18 year old Asian kid that will hold a bag of cues for him.
"This one is for distance of 37.52cm and this one is for 43.87cm distance BUT if it's raining outside, doesn't matter that we are indoors you can take this one, it's called >the dry stick<. I'll start the chopper Ronnie."
These kind of rest looks to be useful, but can you use these kinds of rests at competition level? I think I've seen some rests that aren't the basic type used on pro snooker... but if they're not allowed in amateur or pro competition, that makes the whole point moot, as using it detracts from the game...
timen this is not the skills for snooker. Traditional method has always been the only cue stick.
This is merely for players who are fucking noobs. Using these handicapped equipment in play will only lead to other people laughing at you for being retarded.
It's often impossible to make a legal shot (at least one foot on the ground) in snooker, because the table is so massive (12 feet long). Therefore, a rest is vital in order to make a legal shot. Sometimes the player even needs to extend the cue by over a foot, in order to reach the cue ball.
I think that that idea sort of takes away the concept of bridge play; when you have a bridge that can nearly any shot with the same accuracy as a human hand, you don't develop the skills necessary to use a fixed-head rest or spider to pot a ball. Using fixed-head bridge to pot balls is a lot more difficult because you don't have the same freedom, but its a skill that you should learn because most places don't use this technology.
I like the idea, but I'm not so sure it's good for the technique.

I don't know about this one,it makes an impossible shot slightly easier, but most players won't take those shots on anyway so they won't use it.I think it would be handy for pool though.
because every cue and rest is being approve by the governing body of the tournament like the IPT(international pool tour). if the IPT approves it then they could use this kind of rest.
it wouldnt be cheating if it were to be used in a pro match, however it will be kinda gay because it opens up lots of oppertunities. watching snooker is great and then when players get ut of sticky situatiions its eeven great and amazing, and shows that the player has skill and talent.
Very handy.

That device is genius. Though it'd be cheating if you ever use it in a real professional game.
ticthach 5 years ago
why would it be cheating? you could say using a normal rest is cheating
