i thought the "ending?!" sucked. i loved the series, but i think it has run its course. the original catchy theme of middle class single suburban California mom goes drug dealer is long gone. Shane and Silas are becoming more interesting as characters. I could see a future for the series centering more around them. no clue who shot her. doesn't really seem very interesting. somebody she crossed from the past...snoozer...yawn.

I HOPE there is a season 8. I'm wondering why Showtime is taking its time in announcing it. I mean, the tv ratings for Weeds are still solid and good. The Big C was recently renewed for another season, and that show had worse ratings than Weeds. So if they renewed that show, then it would make sense to renew Weeds as well. I hope the main cast are all back, especially Andy and Silas who are my favorites!
Oh my God you people have watched this show for SEVEN seasons and still don't get how IT'S WORKS?! Jenji isn't milking it--she's giving it a perfect END. You see she's made it last this long (Which isn't fucking long at all since seasons are like 12 episodes) so that you could GROW with the fantastic characters. Why didn't she end it Season 7? Get real people. If Nancy is dead they are not going to make an 8th season. But if you listen to Jenji she says that Shane being a cop could be fuel for another season so you know she has something planned.
Season finale was way to predictable for me. I know this show, have watched since episode one. I knew what was coming. Nothing shocking. Gunman at the end, knew it was happening. The only real way for this show to end is for Nancy to die. I hope the show is officially picked up for season 8 but if not, you all can guess what happened.

Weeds could never die....... I love it too much!!! This show is just as good as outrageous fortune! There's gotta be more! I wanna see stevie/ovi grow up! Those sisters could also get in to some trouble aswell. There's so much more this family could do! Even andy will have his offspring entering at some stage. Come on writers make it to 10 seasons!

@tepaeruw I agree 100% Jenji Kohan is an amazing writer and I am certain she can come up with at least 2 more seasons, if not more. Nancy could have been shot in the shoulder or missed all together. Who knows? Also it could have been some1 else who got shot. Think about it, the shooter looked at other people before Nancy and could have moved just before the shot. All I know is I hope there is a season 8 cause I look forward all year to watch this show & LOVE NANCY BOTWIN & the gang.

And I don't think anyone got shot there was a Silencer on the end of the sniper I think the Bullet fired was added sound at the end of the show to build suspense.. The shooter I think is Tim Scottson Peters son and I think him Shane and the Detective are somehow working together to bust Nancy seeing how the Detective almost had a heart attack threatening Shane for making him look bad.

I am guessing either Tim Scottson (the son of Peter Scottson, the DEA agent) or someone associated with U-Turn because there must be a better reason for them showing Nancy's U-Turn tattoo in the season finale other than "we saw it in the sex tape" - maybe just reminding viewers about Nancy's past with U-Turn?

I HOPE there is a season 8. I'm wondering why Showtime is taking its time in announcing it. I mean, the tv ratings for Weeds are still solid and good. The Big C was recently renewed for another season, and that show had worse ratings than Weeds. So if they renewed that show, then it would make sense to renew Weeds as well. I hope the main cast are all back, especially Andy and Silas who are my favorites!

Oh my God you people have watched this show for SEVEN seasons and still don't get how IT'S WORKS?! Jenji isn't milking it--she's giving it a perfect END. You see she's made it last this long (Which isn't fucking long at all since seasons are like 12 episodes) so that you could GROW with the fantastic characters. Why didn't she end it Season 7? BECAUSE IT'S NOT POSSIBLE. Nancy's story 's pretty much perfect but she still has unresolved problems AND must deal with CONSEQUENCES for kicking evil ass

To me, the ending is just poor writing. Even if they pretend they now who did it, I'm sure they don't. It's like "Lost". Weeds was supposed to last 3 seasons, and then, they kept improvising afterward. I hope Weeds is dead forever.
The last two seasons are shit. What started as a GREAT and AMAZING show criticizing the attachment of some people to the suburban lifestyle became, unfortunately, a horrible commercial show done only for money.

As I was rewatching it I was hoping that it would be Shane shooting the sniper but he was still sitting at the table. I really hope it was the sniper getting shot.

Here are the facts:
-Jenji seems to have a season 8 already written (she knows the shooter)
-Everything is made to make us think (wtf is doing Shane, who's the shooter, what's the deal with Stevie )
-The most important thing is that the series is still a blast on Showtime. The series audience has kept growing and they know we're all waiting for some answers through an 8th season. It's not about if they want to continue the story or not, it's about money.
And Weeds bring a shit load of money

Or Guillermo...either way, I felt sick after hearing the gun shot...We love Nancy...regardless of how messed up her parenting skills are, we root for her...what happens to Stevie if she dies? I know this will sound stupid but listen to her words. She seems to have so many things already planned for an eight season! And I know she's not just going to give it out so early, but she says herself, "In the end, someone's out to kill Nancy." Break that down: Someone IS out to kill Nancy, not someone killed Nancy.

Season finale was way to predictable for me. I know this show, have watched since episode one. I knew what was coming. Nothing shocking. Gunman at the end, knew it was happening. The only real way for this show to end is for Nancy to die. I hope the show is officially picked up for season 8 but if not, you all can guess what happened.
