Honestly, I'll take Mia Hamm over Marta anyday. Marta and the entire Brazilian women's team plays quite dirty. They have no true sportsmanship. Just like Hope Solo said in one of her interviews, had she played dirty and wasted time during the WWC finals, maybe the US would have won. Hope got hurt quite bad towards the end of the match. According to Hope, the goal keeper has the right to go down legitimately. But she didn't want to because Japan is such an honorable team, unlike Brazil.

I think the "male equivalents" are WAY worse players than the females shown here. I am not talking about momentary form, but general skill. Women defend a lot better than men. Tough tackles but still clean, going for the ball. I am a defensive midfielder and have watched both us and our opponents tackle a lot of times. Men can't reach us at defending ability. We can catch them knots at any time by counterattacking because we defend more powerfully and cleanly.

It's my experience talking, not me. The best male attacker is Lisandro Lopez (he defends better than any other male attacker) but even he eats our dust, especially at defending. I know because I have played over 1000 whole matches in my life, my experience counts more than your ignorance.

How come everytime there's a good woman player guys get all "there's no way girls can play as good as guys" come on girls and guys play differently yes, but just because you don't have as much raw power it doesn't mean your playing is worse. Strength isn't everything, football is a technical sport, there's no reason why girls should be less good then guys.
