@sharpiesreef i figured it outbyou can see mine on my channel, it wasn't a jebo the ebay seller lied to us, either way i posted it on craigslist and sold it, what skimmer would you recommend?
@Mulcryant Could you explain the specifics / show me?
Check and make sure your pump is operational and flowing at it's proper rate. Next check and ensure that the pump's venturi is pulling enough air and is free of obstructions.
If your skimmer isn't sitting in enough water, that could also be a contributing factor.
looks like it works fine to me. learn to use the protein skimmer. lulz. what do you want for 40 bucks. whine whine whine. microbubbles? please? just put a filter on the end of the dump tube to soften the turbulence.
@dcninja after modification and ALOT of changes, if you notice there are the changes i described as well as a spillway and extremely reduced water level. Used as instructed the skimmer sucks harder then a 5 dollar whore.
i just bought one it's in the mail did i make a mistake but does it do the job. Also does it leak and does it hit the bottom while it's hanging on the side. have a look at my channel the newest video of the tank i set up do you reckon it will be okay in the sump. thanks
i have the same skimmer and theres always micro bubbles coming out of the overflow. theres micro bubbles at the bottom of the skimmer. the vortex seams like it to powerful or something. any tips
@reefobssesion you shouldn't worry about few micro bubbles, if you want to eliminate these you will have to manufacture a bubble trap, or put a sponge/filterfloss/filter sock on the end of the return.
if you lower the incoming air, you risk flooding, too much and you have more bubbles... it's nto a good skimmer.
well mines in sump. and im running it off of my own marineland 1800 subersible pump, with a T valve. and i insterted a airline and an airstone but the thing sits so high the water just splashes. but thanks!
@TheDavidcox I'm sorry, I totally forgot to mention that.
I removed the lower lip after the slope and added a long skinny (slightly wider then the return) piece of cell cast acrylic, and use acrylic glue to bond them.
It's an unsightly fix in a main tank, but it's clear so it isn't too bad.

@TheDavidcox so long as you can attach a piece of acrylic that will touch the water you will be fine.
