Rafael Nadal seems to be arrogant at court, and yes he does show it but deep down he is a child. He is very shy, humble, and respectable person. Roger on the other hand, people are full of praise regarding his character. Unfortunately i think that Roger is a vile person inside. He does not show emotion on the court but i can see spitfullness in his eyes many times. When he lost final to Nadal he started crying... because he lost. He is cold and calculated person. He fakes his smiles etc.

@Ouija121085 I did a video a while back called novak djokovic more of a man then nadal and this man scares nadal deep down and makes fed uneasy,fed is use to people breaking down to his aura,same with nadal but some have brought the fight to nadal in 2011 and succeeded and its not just because he was injured but mentally he is a child like a mike tyson,without his support and reassurance,he is very fragile,if u took away djokers and nadals boxes id give the edge to nadal.

@MrDestruction25 I've been a tennis fan for as long as I can remember. Before Novak (1) there was and still are Nadal (2) and Federer (3). Before Nadal was Federer. Before Federer was Sampras. Do you know Nadal's or Federer's record? They've both made history. Then came baby Novak. It has taken Novak YEARS to beat Nadal. But everyone hits their peaks and then decline. Novak is on fire indeed, but Nadal has never been arrogant or insecure about his manhood. He has ALWAYS been a 1 of the best.;)

Forgot to menion, mrdestruction you are a great judge of character. All the things you say about Djokovic are true. IF anything please study psychology or something related you tend to have a gift at "reading" people very well and you may find a rewarding career specially if you can judge character that well and i have seen that you are spot on. Nadal is a worldclass sports man no doubt there, but he is a machine with not emotion just grab, grab, and brute force.

Aside his world class talent which he has shown numerous times before and will so in future i hope. His mentality had changed he beleives that he is going to win, he is at peace with himself at court and this is a major reason together with physical fitness and world class talent. He has leanred to control his mind and emotions at instances where preassure is high. Only thing he should improve is his serve and he is complete in every sense.

Novak is the best technical player that i have ever seen. He has the ability to turn his defense into an attack. He is the best returner in history of the sport and is only one who can take a 200km'h serve of his oponent and return it and win the point be it from a long ralley or a winner. The only reason why he was not number 1 couple of years ago was because he was not grown mentally back then. Last year he has been at peace with himself and mentally complete which is why he is dominating.

Spot on about Nadal's father being arrogant. I saw him at Wimbledon & in the final a few days ago and he seems to think that his son has some kind of divine right to win everything.

I remember watching Nadal - Djokovic a few years ago in some final which Nadal won (I can;t remember which one exactly) and in the speech after the match Djoko greeted Nadal's team and family who were watching that match and he got a big applause from the crowd, but not from Nadal's dad, although everybody around him applauded, which I think was improper and pretty rude on his side.

There is also a technical and tactical reasons behind his win. He stands close to the baseline and takes the looping Nadal forehand on the rise (unlike everyone else) with his amazing backhand and starts to dictate the rally. He also does not act passively on breakpoints against him.

Good analysis~ very insightful, made similar observations. Got to agree with you man! Djokovic isn`t perfect but I do believe he`s much more humble than Nadal. As you said the way Novak`s coach, support crew & girlfriend support him~ tells you all you need to know. Their real people & the emotions are real too, no false modesty.. Nadal is a great champion too but as you noted he`s lived a priveleged life. Believe his coach & uncle Toni is a good influence but the dad is clearly arrogant.

Coming from the biggest Djokovic fan: I don't agree with you about Nadal. He's got every right to pump himself up during his matches just like Novak sometimes does. He's always full of praise not just for Novak but for all his rivals; win or lose. Unlike Federer who can't accept defeat even when he's been completely outclassed. Nadal & Djokovic are warriors. Fed is a little sissy who had it easy until these two came along.

Actually, he only had a year before Nadal arrived in 2005. Also, Novak didn't start to dominate the men's game until the beginning of last year and it took him quite a while before he became No.1.

I have nothing against people supporting who they want but leave the "he was lucky" argument to one side.

@Ryan81M Novak was number 3 for quite some time before he was number 1. It took him about 3 years to beat both nadal and federer and dominate them both. Remember he is only 24 years old and was 20 when he was number 3 for a long time. If he lived in different era without nadal and federer both worldclass oponents he would have been number 1 when he was 19-20 years old. He has the honor to live and play alongside 2 of the best players ever to have played this sport and to dominate them both.

True but remember that Roger is now 30 years old. There would be something wrong if Roger was still No.1 at this stage of his career and continued to dominate the game. What is also important to remember is that Roger has had to win many of his titles against rivals 5 and 6 years his juniors. Nadal, Murray and Novak are the same generation.

Same could be said for Nadal. If it weren't for Roger being No.1 from 2005-2008, he would most likely have been No.1 at 19. It is what it is and all players need to try and make the most out of what life throws at them.
