  • Holy crap is that the voice of Mr. Potter, from It's a Wonderful Life? No way!! Does anyone know what year this show aired?

  • @irishinsight 1964

  • "Buuuba-dada-obaaa-bigiot-doogata-boogata-ja-ba-da-jackass!" (What's he say?) "Him say, 'we no wild Indians, we be wild Native Americans!'"

  • Simon Bar SInister was thirty years ahead of global warming

  • the movie is better

  • So, he invented a sinister shop vac.......

  • UNDERDOOOOOOG!!!!!!!!!

  • last comment;) and i remember when they took it off Boomerang one morning when i got up at 10. i cried and was very angry. and just to say, they didn't even take off the scenes when Underdog took his super energy pill. i wish Boomerang would somehow air this show again.

  • i was born in '96, so of course i wasn't alive to see this show in the 60's. but i remember when i was very young that Boomerang would air the episodes at 11 am. i would get up at 10 just in case i wouldnt miss it;) and the first episode i remember seeing was "Fearo" and i saw it on the guide and saying, "What's Underdog?" so i turned it on and it just started. so, thts how i started to love the show;)

  • i'm not gonna scroll through comments to see if anyone said this, but actually the first episode is "Safe Waif" and the episode Polly first appeared in was "March of the Monsters" just saying;)

  • That little fuck reminds me of DAVID ROCKEFELLER!

  • @SimianAxiom If you mean Bar Sinister, I think he was based on Lionel Barrimore, the one who played Mr. Potter in "It's a Wonderful Life".

  • @niflap That actually makes more sense. Thank you for the information :)

  • @SimianAxiom Yep, and that cabal is scamming the water rights to many nation's.

  • simon invented the wet/dry shopvac.

  • @MrBoomDastic Channel 56 had all the great shows at that time.

  • sixtys wher the good times little kid not to brite Hell lets face it complete idiot .To many cartoons i guess or was it?got to go have to figuire this out

  • simon sounds like lionel barrymore!

  • this was a cartoon I watched when I was a child

  • Simon: Everything I do works!!

Me: Like what? Everything he did failed.

  • Underdog was way too similar to Superman.

  • i to love these old cartoons, i could spend all day saturday watching things like this. thanks for posting this. you are real cool in my book my friend

  • Underdog, wow, my youth. Along with Bullwinkle, Speed Racer and all the smaller cartoons that made up those shows it truly was a golden age for cartoons. An age free of 247 Nickelodeon crap like Hannah Montana. Our Hanna had a Barbera attached to it. I remember Saturday mornings eating Cap'n Crunch and clued in front of the TV for hours. Honestly, watching that brought a tear to my eye.

  • @DeadBunny69 SPEED FUCKIN RACER YESSS!!!!! LOVED THAT SHOW!!!! have the first ten episodes on dvd

  • @DeadBunny69

I know what you mean, altough I'm a child of the 90's I was into older cartoons; Astro Boy, Speed Racer, the Amazing 3. Kimba, Wacky Races, and Penelope Pitstop.

  • Nostalgia.

I watched this on VHS in 2000.

  • i'd like to see underdog have a copention with sonic. didn't u hear?''SPEED OF LIGHTING''

  • And Cad is a cad ! def. a man who behaves dishonorably or irresponsibly towards women. Webster's College Dictionary

  • They completely stole this villain idea in the latest Bond film, Quantum of Solace. How dare they steal from Underdog?!

  • Underdog is one BAMF

  • I LOVE IT!! THE BEST CARTOONS EVER MADE WERE FROM THE 1960's!!! U-DOG IS MY FAVORITE OF ALL TIME!!

  • @23kyp Any decade before the 1990s had the best cartoons. I don't know what the deuce they are doing with cartoons these days.

There's no need to fear, underdog is here. If sweet polly is in trouble then I must not delay...it's up up and away. The first rhyming superhero...at least as far as I can remember.

  • I watched this way back in my childhood in the 1960s but at that time, although Simon bar Sinister scared me and I loved Underdog and Sweet Polly, I did not then realize theta the creator of this cartoon was totally awake to the Talmudic jew conspiracy, led by Simon and his ilk, to take over the entire earth, which in 2010 is nearly complete. At least I did finally awake to the truth and I married Sweet Polly, too!

  • I even not born at that time.I only get to know from the underdog movie!!!!!!!!!!

  • the colonel is a nitter !

  • Simon finally perfected the Shop Vac.

  • I used to catch this on satellite back in the early 90's, one of those HUGE satellite dishes and could pick up WSBK out of Boston. This used to come on afternoons after school. I used to love the winter afternoons with a fire crackling in the fireplace and being half-asleep on the couch in a blanket watching this show. After this was Rocky N Bullwinkle and then Deputy Dawg. Now THAT was a great cartoon line-up..

  • Man, this brings back memories. I'm old enough to have seen these cartoons when they first came out. And on the only color television set in the neighborhood.

  • Simon Bar Sinister scares me... I LOVE UNDERDOG.

  • Carefree days.

  • Can't believe this...havn't seen this since...?

  • That blonde dog is HOT!!!

  • @hernje For one it's a cartoon and for two it's a DOG!!!

  • Actually, a group of whales is called a "pod" not a pack. And those aren't killer whales, they're sperm whales!

  • simon says eat me

  • thats kinda clever. simon says keep on watching this show!

  • This cartoon is so scientifically inaccurate! Simon should know that water is a compound from grade school, so there are no "atoms of water". Then, how to condense molecules without destroying matter? Finally, if the water were dried up, then the planet would become impossibly hot and cold without water vapor to moderate the temperature. Then again, who ever heard of a dog hero? Is this a mockery of superman or mighty mouse?

Did anyone notice that the colonel looks like Theodore Roosevelt?

  • @BuddyNovinski The end of the Civil War was near

    When quite accidentally,

A hero who sneezed abruptly seized

Retreat and reversed it to victory.

  • I like how Under Dog has this wimpy, Walter Mitty type voice in contrast to his superhero personna.

  • @2degucitas Type in Wally Cox Whats My Line, Don't forget thats Underdog!! More like shoeshine boy.

  • UNDERDOG!

  • Nice find man; back from a time where the show was not a 30 minute infomercial like the cartoons are today.

  • Thanks for posting! I haven't seen Underdog since I was a kid. I am a single mother of a 10 year old, and now I can share it with him :)

  • Polly Purebread has the worst luck, getting captured all the time

  • @Koh319 yea but she has the best luck being with underdog

  • You just can't have everything. just accept life for what it is. red white and blue

or should I say red white and black. yeah that sounds better. GOD LOVES ALL

and he loves UNDERDOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Red Black or White it don't matter ; )

  • "DRY UP ALL THE WATER? I MUST TELL THE POLICE ABOUT THIS!" being that she was so loud, i'm surprised Simon did overhear it...

  • I loved my Saturday morning cartoons!!

  • They don't make them like this anymore. Pure classic.

  • so great to see these again...Allen Swift voiced Simon Barsinister, but he was intentionally modeled after Lionel Barrymore...and btw, "Bar sinister" is another word for "bastard"...cartoonists had their in-jokes back in the day too...

but i missed it...how much water was his machine going to suck up?

  • that is lionel barrymore, drew barrymore's grandfather from what I understand as the mad scientist. My brother told me. I'd watch this everyday at lunch time when I was in preschool, after preschool. They should show reruns of this again!

  • Oh my god! The music! I remember that! oo-wa-oo, oo-wa-oo! So awesome!

  • Oh wow, I just read that Wally Cox was the voice of Underdog. I never knew that before, but now that I do, it's obvious!

  • The mad scientist sounds like Lionel Barrymore! ("Potter" from It's A Wonderful Life)

  • Sweet Polly Purebred would so pull out a six-pack of whoop-ass on Simon Bar Sinister today....45 years after this cartoon was made...

  • i like the other underdog show better

  • The Intro song defines the true meaning of EPIC.

  • @19Atticus Yes it does.

  • If everything he worked on..actually worked . then he would have gotten it right the first time......so he lied lol

  • Oh Where, Oh Where has my Underdog gone, Oh where, oh where can he be?

I love you, Sweet Polly Purebred

  • So how on earth can this be cited in my American Studies class as politically incorrect? The Gophers always prove themselves more capable, more wily, and more practical than the Union soldiers sent to "tame" them....hmmm, I seem to be going to the wrong school.

  • @9krt Becuase the one gopher has a speech impediment...

  • @9krt ,Makes you think what the system is up to trying to make underdog politically incorrect !!!

  • Omg, underdog was the show, from my childhood.I remember saturday mornings watching cartoons then go outside all day and climb trees, make forts, play kick ball in the streets, ride our bikes and skate boards, and roller skates, kids were out all day instead of the kids today.they watch tv and play finger games all day. Cartoons used to be on just saturdays. What memories

  • @99realz those were the good old days until kids started doing drugs and playin on their x-box live :P

  • @99realz I am one of those kids, and the real reason of why we don't go out and play baseball in the street is 1) The streets aren't as safe and people don't know all of their neighbors. 2) The internet and "finger games" let us talk to our friends without doing anything.

  • I Love the introsong!!!!!

  • Man.. brings you back. Haha.

  • classics for ever!!

  • LOL

  • no simon looks exactly like cheney, CAD hass clintons hair lol

  • I like what the guy in 5:42 does

  • This was before they called them native Americans I suppose. As stupid as the gophers were though they were still smarter than the dogs. what does that say?

  • I definitely remember this as a kid. I feel like I'm 3 yrs old again!

  • Damn fucking crazy RZA sampled the begining of the theme.....BANNANAZZZZZZZ

  • @pixeldread,Do you need to talk like that, you know there might be kids watching this and reading comments !!!!!

  • I love that Colonel Coyote. He always manages to retain his dignity even when getting humiliated.

  • Sweet Polly was a sexy dog? I feel so dirty for this erection

  • yep, she was one sexy bitc h

  • simon bar sinister...reminds me of George Bush the 2nd.....doesn't he?

  • dick cheney i'd say!

  • Actually, I thought he looked like Clinton, either one of em.

  • lol - his lacky looks like Clinton- that's crazy

  • screw you asshole!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • never seen this show before I like it!

  • This is so old:D

  • Wally Cox was the voice of Underdog...

  • Lionel Barrymore was the voice of Simon Bar Sinister, and Wally ------ was the voice of Underdog.

  • WRONG! LIONEL BARRYMORE was not the voice of Simon. However the character was based on Lionel Barrymore. Just like Sweet Polly was based on Marilyn Monroe. I know this because the original producers said so on the DVD interviews

  • Is the speed of lightning faster than the speed of sound??

  • yes, light moves much faster than sound

  • nice. i wish i actually coulda watched on TV, but im in Generation Z

  • @MiniMaruko333

When the show was new, the Internet did not exist for most people, thus there was no YouTube to make comments with like we do now.

  • YES! I am a child again.

  • hell yeah.....

  • Awesome!!! Thanks for this...

  • Thanks so much for putting this up.

  • blahhh

  • Is it just me or was that giant snowball in every episode?

  • There's no need to fear! Underdog is here!

  • You folks are missing by a mile. Simon Bar Sinister looks exactly like former Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir.

  • Does anybody know who's the creator of Underdog? The style reminds me of Jay Ward's.

  • W. Watts Biggers was the main creator of Underdog along with Chet Stover

  • Thanks!! Really good to know about that.

  • I thought Joe Harris was THE creator of Underdog

  • @acla9000 There is a book out called "Created and Produced By Total Television Productions" that tells the story of the company that did Underdog and other cartoons. Get it on Amazon.

  • why doesnt simon just use a giant vacuum cleaner???

  • Because he finally gets the little one to work - duh!

  • why the fuck is people talking about racism on a cartoon video? hahaha xD

  • this happens on every video on youtube don't know why it just happens lol

  • WOW This takes me back a few years. I used to watch Underdog with my younger bro.He would put a towel on his back collar and pretend to be Underdog.LOL

  • poly purebred is a real dog !

  • very astute

  • Simon Bar Sinister looked just like Nixon.....Cad looked like John Haldeman and Riff Raft looked like H.R. Haldeman....three evil hombres for sure!

  • sad they can no longer show underdog-because he took pills ,and go-go gophers , too racist against indians this country has turned the wrong way

  • Did you ever notice how Paul Schaffer looks just like underdog, and how David Letterman looks like Simon Bar Sinister?

  • I think Simon Bar Sinister looks more like Rudy Giuliani

  • This cartoon is just as good now as it was in 1964

  • what is the name of the turtle at the end of this cartoon? I know at the end of every show the turtle would say " help mr. wizard"

  • I think it is Tooter Turtle.

  • I hate simon bar and riffraffvi.

  • SimonbarKissinger. Yea lets dry up all the water and pollute all the air!

  • I have been reading these various comments on Race and I don't see what it has to do with this Cartoon. I am a African-American and "Underdog" was one of my favorite Saturday morning Cartoon. See the cartoon as we did in the 60's as just a show for innocent kids eating Cereal wating on Underdog to capture those various Villians and have a good laugh.

  • @Disciple127 You are so right, your comment describes me to a tee on a Saturday morning when I was a kid, eating cereal and watching my favorite cartoons. There will never be cartoons like the ones we watched in the 60's (we had the best), too bad we can't go home again, huh?

  • @Disciple127 I don't think it's Underdog that has people complaining about race. It's most likely that "Go Go Gophers" segment. I mean, the way Native Americans are depicted in that cartoon is rather...stereotypical...

  • @Disciple127 , Glad to read your comments, as I loved watching Underdog all those years ago. Take care and God Bless.

  • @Disciple127 Thing's were rough for us in the 60's but even worse now in a way.Somebody always trying to read something into something that's not there. They can never just enjoy something that's simple.

  • @Disciple127 Cause you aint Injun, like me. Dat HOW you miss teh racial offense ... !

  • So super cool! Old School!

  • Was this show pretty popular in its day?

  • It was at my house!!!!

  • This is a cartoon!!

    Stop talking sh1t !!

  • Yeah, besides this is a pleasant cartoon website from my childhood, not a hatefest dude!!!!

  • Your racism does'nt even deserve a response, but every war since the civil war African Americans have fought and died for this country, so please find something constructive to do!! God help you!!!

  • I don't know how you can get into ethnic diversity issues from an Underdog cartoon, but people can find a way on youtube I guess.

I like the cartoons of the Rocky and Bullwinkle style. They feature not so much great animation, but hilarious dialogue and character voices.

The South Park cartoons of recent times is of that same spirit, but the social commentary it satires truly is controversial.

  • Shut the HELL UP DUMBASS!!!!!

  • 06:33 did he just say mother fucker?

  • Absolutely, all the cartoons in the 60's had swear words in them.

  • this was the show,it was so great to see this stuff after all these years, real cartoons, not the mess that they show on tv nowadays

  • Does the skin color matter? What country are you from?

However, this gives me an idea. I should go find a Doug video and complain about how there's too many strangely colored people and not enough white people. I mean, would it have killed them to make Roger white instead of green?

    Okay, sarcasm over now.

  • you're right...and the next time that in a diverse nation like america, if one of the asian, blacks or mexicans cultures make up over 80% of the media, then we'll make them even it out, until then, we'll focus on the one ethnicity that is making up over 80% of media...i forgot...which one is that again?

  • Oh, I see, you're 22. I forgot you 20's know everything, like I did.

  • last time i checked if a percentage was around 60% its a MAAAJOOORITY. oh...and by the way, if you didn't want a diversity of people coming to america, maybe your great "ole White country" forefathers shouldn't have put in that whole "bring me your poor huddled masses" thing for all to see. what, you think that only applied to europeans?

  • Yes, it did only apply to Whites. George Washington signed the 1795 Naturalization Act which reserved naturalization for WHITES ONLY. And give us "the wretched refuse of your teeming shores"?? I don't think so! lol

  • Besides, that was just a dumb poem, written by a JEW, and has nothing to do with the way people have lived for thousands of years, they are racist. That poem is idiotic for anyone trying to have a developed country.
