sounds great but the vid camre out cloudy. like the angle of the camera was over cast by the sun ,,,if you redo make sure theview comes out clear..muscle head to muscle head,,(91 lx /w supercharged still under construct,,,,,,
And i dont care if you work at Yates,It is impossible to make a Stock set of E7s even come close to a set of Victor JRS.Yeah you can port the hell out of them and put maybe 1.94s max...LOL and why would you want to waste all that money when you could buy a set of aluminum heads?...GTDRUMMERDUDE........Your the man!!!!!LOL
Sounds like someones Jealous of your car man!!!!!And i know that 82GLX is NO 13 second car!!!LOL People these days,They get on here and act like they know every combo/nut and bolt size/etc.....About your own car you built!!!HATERS SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But anyways Westbankmike......Badass car....I just built a A-4 331,AFR Ported Heads,Trickflow Ported box intake, etc etc. With a Vortech polished T-trim.But anyways....Your car looks and sounds Awesome....Keep the vids coming.
I don't even own this car. The new one is a Strin 347 with a bit over 500whp. I could do it with that one if you want should only take about 12sec. Actually it tops out at about 133mph.
I think my 11:1 comp 306 with rpm heads, trickflow intake, 75mm TB longtubes, pulleys, MSD, F cam would make a bit more power than a E7 headed ecam car.
The nitrous was never used in any of the videos. This was a 12sec car on motor.
The E7s are stage 2. I can take a pair of E7 heads and make them flow 50% more than a pair of Victor Jr. heads if I wanted to. Just because they're factory heads doesn't mean they can't be modified to be race heads. Your motor is a full bolt-on motor, not a built race motor. My stock heads/cam/bottom-end 8.4:1 1982 non-roller 5.0 can nearly keep up with full bolt-on 5.0s. Under 5500 rpm, the stock stuff is good enough. Post the video like I said and you'll prove me wrong with hard evidence.
Sorry it is not a bolt on motor. Eagle rods, TRW pop up pistons 11:1 compression. roller rockers.
And if you can make E7's flow as much as victor jr's you shuold be a rich man.
you are limited bt the port locations on stock heads, That's why all the race heads have raised ports. Can you even fit 2.02 1.60 valves in a E7? I never said my engine was a race engine. Motors are electric/
The difference between 8.0:1 and 11.0:1 on the exact same motor is like 15 hp just so you know. It really doesn't make that much power. Seen it on dynos. I have a degree in applied science for auto mechanics, I have earned the right to call a gasoline engine a motor if I want to. People would rather by the AFR, Edelbrock, Ford Racing etc. heads and have the name and the aluminum look on their car then worry about porting and experimenting with factory heads.
140mph? With a T5 and 3.73s you're going about 100 mph in fourth gear at 5500 rpm. Your fourth gear won't even hit 110 at 6000 rpm and the car can't hit 140 that fast regardless of gear ratio. I would know, my '82 hangs with my bud's '90 GT 5 speed with stage 2 port on E7s, E cam, 3.73 gears, intake, headers, full exhaust, pulleys, MSD, throttle body, injectors. Nice sounding stang tho.
With the 3.73's 245/50/16 tires in fourth gear the car would be going 122.727451839355mph so yeah maybe not 14o mph but a little bit faster than what you figured. I also have a bit more motor than your friend there. 5500 rpm would be
You have a bit more power adder, not a bit more motor. Nitrous is NOT motor. And according to 245/60-15, your tires would be about 25.5" in diameter, pretty much the exact same diameter my 225/60-15 tires are supposed to be, yet when I measured them with a tape measurer from the ground to the highest point on the top of the tire, I got 24.5", so we can assume the same for you. So IF you were at 6000rpm (which I don't think you ever hit in this run in 4th), you were doing 117mph.
But make another video of your Mustang going from a dead stop through all the gears until you get to 6000 rpm in fourth gear and we'll be able to see what your times are. Make sure the camera is focused on the tach the whole time, speedometer could be off and seeing the road won't do us any good so make sure the video is of the tach and we'll see what kind of 0-100 mph times you're getting. I'm guessing 14-16 seconds
My stock heads/cam/bottom-end 150,000 mile non-roller 1982 5.0L with an SROD 4 speed trans and 3.27 gears ran 13.65 @ 99 mph with full interior, not stripped in any way, and a stock replacement clutch. It has shorties, full 2.25" exhaust, no cats, pulleys, MSD, CAI, Edelbrock carb and intake manifold, and had MT ET Streets during that run. The car was jetted and tuned by me. My 0-100 time on street tires is about 15 seconds. Make the video I mentioned and lets see.
please tell me wtf u did to ur car it runs incredible

I know you can make a factory car go fast.
But it is a whole lot easier to do it with aftermarket parts than with the stock stuff.
Why not let someone else do all the tech stuff and then enjoy it. Yeah my car only made 309whp but that was good enough for 12's on motor

I don't own this car anymore!! My other mustang is a Boss block 347, TFS stg3 port, B-31 cam with 1.72:1 RR, Pulleys,
RPM int.. etc.. etc..
Also this car has a full interior only change was seats because the stock ones suck.
So I can't make the video, and I told you it ran 12.80's on motor.
