When I was yunger, I thought cheerleaders where sluts and snobby. My brother told me that they just want attention, so I tried out for volleyball,soccer and softball, i made it all. Then my mom tells me that she wants me to be a cheerleader. Im tring out and I never relized how hard it was. Im intimidated. Cheer is a sport. It may be the hardest one.

cheerleading, is a sport in college 70% of girls injuries are from CHEER.

it is the most dangerous sport, statistics prove it, we may not run and get tackled for a football, but we throw people in the air, and catch them without dropping them. it takes real skill, and muscle in your arms, and legs. so suck on that! haha

Cheerleading is the most competative sport. I'm a flyer and it's not as easy as it looks. when you fall from being upin the air, it hurts. Falling from someone pushing you is no big deal. Take it like a man!

cheerleading IS a sport. its one of the most dangerous sports and you can get seriously hurt. like this year my friend broke 2 ribs, one girl sprained her arm, my other friend has back & wrist problems, and i got a concussion just from having a girl fall on us. as a flyer, you can fall and not be caught and as a base someone can fall on you. like obviously in 1982 cheer was just standing and clapping but now, cheer is 100% definitely a sport!

just so u know shmiley102297 cheerleading is not a sport because the rules change through out the intire country and so thats what makes it not a sport like football is because the rules are the same but not for cheer

I love UK!!! They are amazing! I would so want to cheer for the, but I am not that good, plus I really want to go to Georgia Tech of U of Florida and join the Military adn I know Kentucky goes hard core cheer and idk if I could jugle all that! I cheerlead in Scotland - tbh I prefer cheerleading for competitions and stuff and not being down-graded to having to cheer for boys runing sround and getting sweaty playing football.

Plus I dont HAVE to be able to do a backflip to dance as well as the rest of them, I can still fly as well and Im not flexible.

Wait till this year a nationals UK is going to win agian i watch them throw the routine full out on thursday at Showtime Spirit in lexington, kY. also everyone involed in the program are wonderful people...they help to coach me almost every all star practice and school practice and well Ali Greer and Blake are my favorite cheerleaders and the assistant coach Josh is the bom!!

Im from the UK and its not worth coming hear for trust me! it's the same at my school too. when we're in uniform we have to present ourselves in a repectable manner. cheerleaders are already stereotyped negatively and our coach doesn't want us to be viewed that way.

i live in kentucky and cheerleading is amazing ..we get called preps all the tme...but everyone is at the games helping cheer our team on ... people sometimes call us sluts cause of our skirts .... but we dont walk around skrewing people...we walk arond with spirit and pride for our team... we are the sairit to my school we always have pep rallys its funny cause the football playrs come out (cricket cricket)we come out (wooh wooh yeah ) haha cheering is amazing
