Well Bungie wouldnt like a paid game to become a free game now would they? & they wouldnt THE ENTIRE Halo 3 game into Halo CE because still Halo 3 is for the Xbox360 & you are pretty much killing the purpose when you rip too many tags.

Even with all of Halo 3's assets ripped in to CE, Halo CE will NEVER be ANYTHING like Halo 3. They are two completely different animals. Get this notion that the models make the game out that head.

They can't rip the entire game, they can only rip models and animations. They can't rip the XBox Live experience, and they can't rip the core game mechanics. It won't ruin Halo 3 at all if they rip the entire art scheme, though that would be excessive. Like what was already said, they're making a mod with unoriginal content. That's not new or bad in any way.
