you actually need to flush the caps prior to putting them on before with saline so air doesnt go in the central line and end up making the pt have a PE. Great video though
I am an IV specialist nurse and I concerned about taping the line just around the insertion site to secure the line - it defits the purpose of transparent dressing for easy view of the site! Don't you think?
it means it might have been dislodged or there might be a clot. call your health care provider asap.
