i always wanted to ride in a dog sled

some of these dogs were extras in the movie 8 Below. The star dogs do not pull sleds. The movie was shot in Smithers BC and Greenland

on the day of this movie the temp was -20 C

the dogs did not seem to get tired, we stopped briefly every hour or so and a longer stop for lunch

in elkford they have a big dogsled race every year, it is pretty fun to watch

isn't it like called the iditarod or something like that. I remember years ago I read about it. It might have taken place in alaska... reguardless, its pretty incredible. if you haven't seen the move Iron Will(1994), the races are just like that.
