I have dissolved each pill in water pulled into medicine plunger and squirted into mouth (each pill separately) and it has worked when my cat needed several pills a day. Once he was addicted to the pain killer he took them no problems. : ( If cat spits out soggy pill it can be dissolved in a tea spoon with just a drop of water : ) Some pills are 9$ ec. : /

@TheSHERIE68 Oh wow, great information there! I may have to implement them next time I take my kitty in. No major issues lately but there are times that it's touch and go. I think she does what she does now mostly to get attention. :)

usually it takes me a few tries, cause the cat usually spits it out, and i have to then find the pill then squeze on her mouth again, and try to push it in her mouth, she usually has her teeth clenched so i got to push on the sides of her mouth again. then once i get it in there i hold her mouth shut, and rub her throat, hoping she swallows it, but sometimes she spits it out again.

@opal1920able I'm so glad Catzilla's through with her pills. My issue with her now is keeping her from tossing her cookies on a regular basis. So much trouble, those darn long haired cats! LOL!

My cat is evil anyway and I figured what better way to showcase her evil... ness... than to put her in a video. Now, if I can just find a good enough video on how to properly trim her claws.  LOL! Good luck on your end with your kitty's pills! :D

@BrotherStove When I trim my cats nails I usually have my son hold them and I gently squeeze the pads which pushes the crawls out then I use regular nail clippers. Its easier if you have someone help but I have done it by myself before too. At a last resort we have wrapped up the cats in towels too..lol. They can't do much then. lol.

@BrotherStove Yea the cheese helped... I still struggled sometimes but my son was able to get some pills down him too. He finished the antibiotics yesterday..and his breath is a billion times better and he is eating better so I think that tooth infection is cleared up. But he still has to take an allergy pill every other day. Thanks for asking. :)

Yes, he did. He even demonstrated with the first pill for me. She's just fine now but as evil as ever. She's a polydactyl kitty meaning she has 6 claws on each front paw. Trust me, that extra claw is definitely a deal breaker, fer shur! :)

I've never heard of that method before. Hmmm....I just put a teensy bit of butter on the pill, then push the pill into the side corner of their mouth and slightly down their throat and the whole thing is over in 10 seconds. Then they get a good treat of course! :-)

Now how about a clip on clipping toenails? :-)

Oh yeah. I thought that vet was off his nut by grabbing that cat by her head like that but he did it like it was nothin'. I tried and failed miserably. Dropping the pill down her gullet seemed to do the trick.

That cat really did put up a fight, and I'm not talking about the fisticuffs kind. She was a real pain but once I regained the high ground, she dealt with her situation like a trooper... but not before losing one other pill she was supposed to take. Cats. ;/
