Marisa Tomei Would have made a great Stephan ..Debbie Reynolds is not anything like Grandma Mazur .Carol Barnett would have been. And Ranger should have been like Dewayne Johnson BIG an TUFF Looking.. Morelli should have been dark hair dark eyes.I hated this movie.

I have read EVERY book, I guess it has been a while since i read oftm, but i still do not recall Morelli EVER being a criminal. I dont see anything in the trailer that resembles anything from the books. Thats just my opinion. I dont like heigl for the part from the word go, never will. I will stick to the books & how Janet described them. I am disappointed I always thought they would make fantastic movies and bring Janet even more fans. But I will not watch any with heigl as stephanie.

I have been reading the Janet Evanoich: Stephanie Plum series and I must say not one person fits my persona of how I had each one planned out. Damn now I am sure if I want to see the movie. why didn't anyone fill the producers in...Grandma, chicken legged Morelli, sexy Italian hot bad boy cop Ranger, Dark-skinned Cuban...I have dated me a few and believe me this is NO dark-skinned Cuban.

I personally think that Grandma Mazur would have been better played by Betty White. I pictured Ranger as much larger than who they have. Vin Diesel, maybe or Dwayne Johnson would have been better (of course they would need hair) :) From reading all the books, I picture Joe as much cuter than who they've picked. Will I pay to see this movie in the theatres? Before watching the trailer, yes. Now that I've seen the trailer.....probably not. I think I'll wait til it hits the RedBox!

I read all the books ( some more then once) Heigl will do great as Stephanie. Granma Mazur looks nothing like a soup chicken at all. Ranger caracter is not perfect, will be okay....it can be done. Stephanie father in the books is not like the one in movie...this guy talks way too much. ANd now for Morelli,, OMG are the producers and directors on drugs.....did they even read these books....UURRGHH Morelli is a sexy Italian with dark hair-dark eyes baby!! It ruins the whole movie for me :((((

I've read the whole series of 17 books SEVERAL times, and overall I'm pleased with the casting, although I am disappointed that Grandma Mazur doesn't look like a soup chicken. Morelli? Doesn't look right, but I think they were maybe going for a younger Mel Gibson type. Two words for Ranger: GOR-GEOUS! I think Heigl will do well; wonder who they have for Vinnie! I always pictured Sherry Shepherd as Lula, so that's perfect! I expect to really enjoy this movie.

It looks really good! A couple lil things that dont really sit true to the book for me. Ranger as an example...yes he is HOT and the perfect look. But I do not get Cuban or Latin at all from him. Also Ranger in book oozes strong silent dark stranger and I get more charming friendly guy from the bits I see. I am also guessing tha Ranger handles a weapon with far more finesse.

I'm looking forward to the movie. I hope I'm not disappointed. i love the books. I just finished "Smokin' Seventeen". It was great. I think my favorite one was "Seven Up". Lula cracks me up. That one I think was the one where her idea of the Atkins diet was loading up on fried chicken. She had her purse full of meat and was being chased by dogs. I laughed til I cried over that one.

Apparently none of you read books... This is the first book in a huge series by the author Jane Evanovich. It is the Stephanie Plum series, the books are hilarious and they have been around a lot longer than that shitty bounter hunter movie with Gerard Butler. I have no idea if the movie will be as good as the books, but they usually aren't.
