what a beautiful tribute ,agnes, dave shaw, wes,,rob parker, rob palmer, sheck, all true pioneers in the diving faternity,,r.i.p. as you will never be forgotton,,
@kcslk Underwater caves are the last frontier in this world, there are no place in planet wher you cane shine a light where no humans do, to be a cave diver explorer is a sort of modern Columbus, so do not disrespects something you are either afrid of or are incapble do. R.I.P in peace Agnes :((
Four weeks today since Agnes departed this Earth....she's in the memory of all the people who loved her, she's missed so dearly. Incredible to think this angel of fantastic subterranean waters is gone, I imagine her now diving somewhere in millions of caves as beautiful or even more beautiful than Ralph's cave, forever and ever.
Bless your pure soul, Agnes: you brought so much light, so much beauty to this Earth the brief time you lived here, people like you are so needed in this world, so sad you're gone. Still it's a consolation to think that your spirit lives in every cave, any ocean you dived in this beautiful planet.
You'll not be forgotten, the memories of your existence, your passion, your pursue of beauty, discovery will live for a long time.
You were so loved, so missed for those ones who knew you
Wes, Sheck and Agnes must be having a blast in Heaven, diving millions and millions of caves eternally....
I think of Agnes day and night, I cannot believe she's gone.... I try to imagine what she went through during the last minutes of her life and feel sad.... It's strange to see life going up on without her, Agnes was a refulgent star that shone so brilliantly for so brief time and disappeared. I can imagine the grief of her parents, family, close friends. What a devastating loss.
Agnes was such a vibrant person, so full of passion, so much life.
It's so sad to know she died so soon.... I don't know about cave diving but I think that maybe if she had not gone by herself to that part of the cave maybe she'd be alive now. The divers supervisor got to answer some questions about that tragic day. It's not poetic that the life of this young woman ended this way, drowned in a cave, nobody around to help her. Sadly she's gone. She made mistakes that day, caves were unforgiving
I only wish I had learned about her under better circumstances. The world will certainly bet a worse place without her. However tragic, it's poetic that she died doing something that she loved so much. RIP.
Cave exploring is a risky task, and if the cave is underwater the risks are even greater, Getting stuck in a narrow part of an underwater cave and being by herself was fatal. She was just a fragile human being, yes, extraordinary young woman but she could not overpower nature, the mighty power of that cave. Maybe anybody else with same skills, experience in the same situation had ended dead too. Too confident ? maybe, Nature is unforgiving, she'd make a mistake and Nature would not have mercy
Does somebody know when a funeral, or memorial for Agnes will be held ? There is nothing about it in the news. I imagine the terrible emotional, spiritual pain her parents must be going through, losing a child that way.
I'm not a cave diver, but I wonder if it was not a fatal mistake Agnes made going alone to that part of that cave... if she had had a "buddy" diver maybe she had been helped when she got stuck in that narrow passage of the cave, I dunno.
fuzion, if thats the case then why am I continually hearing about the (so called) greatest, most experienced diving (cave or open water) "experts" continually losing their lives while diving? Not a day goes by that word of another death doesn't come via my "diving accidents" interest group on Yahoo. Why is that?
@kcslk Cave diving is the most dangerous sport on the planet. People go where they are not supposed to. Agnes was an explorer. She knew the risks when trying to fit into small places. Most divers are not trying to explore as she was. As far as people losing their lives while diving, each accident is different. Sometimes people panic, sometimes its gear malfunction. People have to understand that SCUBA is inherently dangerous and things can go wrong. You have to be prepared for that.
@kcslk this video was made to remember a dear friend. A person whom I worked with and was proud of her passion for doing what she truly loved. Like any person who does extreme sports. There is a risk. She accepted those risks and didn't let it stop her. If you want topost negative comments. I suggest you do it elsewhere.
@kcslk Yeah really, monday morning quarterback a professional cave diver. She did not let anything hold her back, we all know the risks and we dive for the love of it. It is a high risk environment and sometimes people don't come back up. She died in a place she loved, leave it at that. The tank cave is very restrictive and dark, it is not hard to run into trouble. But if anyone could handle that, It would be her. May she rest in peace!
not if you follow correct procedures. Plenty of people have been diving caves for 20+ years without a problem. Are you a diver? Do you know anything about cave diving?
Agnieszka, you have your mother's eyes and your dad's adventurous spirit.
I am so proud to have known you and your family.
As a diver, I have always admired your skill and abilities. You will always be my inspiration, and you will always be there with every breath I take underwater.
I have not known or heard about Agnes(until now) but can see why Dr Richard Harris was quoted in AdelaideNow to have said `"She was someone who would light up the room; a big personality," To all those touched by this tragedy - my heartfelt condolence. If I (we all) could only live life, and contribute to society with half of the passion that Agnes did - What a different place this world would be! Thank you for that passion Agnes, for it has certainly rekindled mine.
