The first survival horror game? I could not never beat this game as a kid. The concept of running around and triggering switches was far different than the other games at that time.
i remember discovering the ground floor in this and thought the cryo chambers were amazing....it scared the crap out of me, remember the back of the box and the grey sleeved floopies with EA on them...
So THAT is the way to pick up chicks! All I need now is a mutant infested orbital station :D
I loved this game back then. Used to scare the s*** out of me. First survival horror game :D I will not replay it though, we have got Dead Space now. :P
Very cool game. Finished it on the C64 already. One of the best games ever. I also wish they would do a modern remake. But they should keep id 2d or the spirit of the game is lost.
Easier said then done as Vivendi most likely owns the rights to this game as it was done by Dynamax who were bought by Sierra in the 90's and let's be honset Vivendi are idots so I doubt that the would bother with a remake, if they do it would be god awful
game without music on a c64? sucks!

This could well be the plot for the upcoming 'Prometheus' film, the Alien spin-off/prequel thing.

@WaffleRofl
Haven't you seen Back to the Future 2? In four years fax machines will be HUGE and it'll stay that way into the foreseeable future.

i have a question... if the commander can set self destruct by remote control, why does jon have to go to the bridge to set self destruct?
shinchan123450 1 year ago
@shinchan123450 They wanted a copy of the logs and research so they know what went wrong, so the mistake wouldn't be repeated.

I loved the fact that you could wander through the ship outside of what the game wanted you to do. All sorts of interesting places to visit.

Actually, some guy did make a remake - in 3d. I tried it only briefly a while ago, it seemed rough around the edges a bit. May be worth a try.

Four minute long intro o.O
This was some seriously impressive graphics for the C64. I neevr played it, but read the walkthrough in the magazines.

this game was absolutely an inspiration for games such as Doom, System Shock and Half-life. Hope they'll remake it some day
