Why would you build a wall right there? They could put an incline and sand and pebbles for a long way to slow them down. Make the spectators move back and save the cars.
looks to me like yellow car left front very low, either a very late lock up and just kept going on and on, or it's a blowout. other driver slid it sideways to try slow down faster. i wish that old bloke stayed there and just got showered in shit. would of been awesome.

The yellow cars front left looked a bit low, dunno if that was just the body roll from the fast right-hander or maybe a puncture. The red car seems to loose its front wheel as it spins 180. They dont seem to touch as the yellow cars trajectory doesnt change alot...maybe they had contact before the start of the film?
